Note Reads:
To Little Riley Dude,
Happy National Donut day. Got you a few dozen, just because I’m the best uncle ever. Maybe you can have some with your milk in the morning.
Idolize Always,
Your Uncle Seb
P.S. Don’t share. These are for you and you only.
Just kidding - enjoy Puckermans. Sorry if there are any missing… I got hungry. What can I say? I’m a growing boy.
[Puck is in the midst of changing his nearly one month old son when he hears the doorbell ring. With a house full of people, most of them waiting to hold or care for his son, he knew someone would get it, but this was his time with Riley - time he barely got with grandparents and great grands plus an eager aunt and fur brother to Riley lurking around to get their chance and time with the baby. Puck couldn’t take his eyes off of his beautiful little boy. Everytime he looked at him, his heart felt like it was past its capacity with love and adoration. He hadn’t known just how much he could love another person until the product of him and his wife, Lizzie was there in his arms. He placed a light kiss on the baby’s forehead once he’d lifted him from the changing table and had him cradled in his arms. ] Their Golden Retriever, Castiel, wasn’t too far from his side. Since Riley’s arrival home, Cas has been like his protector and shadow. ] His ears picked up and he grew alert to footsteps not even Puck could hear yet, but watching his dog, he knew that someone was coming.] Hey, your royal ugliness, Sebastian left these for you.[His younger sister, Sarah, brought in a box of donuts and a note. Puck sat in the rocking chair with the baby securely in his hold as he took the donuts and note and sat it on his spare knee.] You must have run him off if he didn’t stick around or come find me. Trusting you with food…that was bold. [Sarah rolled her eyes and retorted] He wasn’t ready for this jelly. [Puck’s brow rose.] Look Destiny’s Child emphasis on the last part, leave Seb alone he’s old enough to be your older uncle. Give a few years he could be old enough to be your dad.Get up out of here. I can’t have this negativity around Riley. [As she rolled her eyes and left the room, Puck read the note to Riley, chuckling at the ending.] Riley, we get to tell your mama we got donuts. Think she’ll do that whole excited squeal? [His son started to smile, and for a second Puck thought he was excited about his mama’s squeal too, until he realized that that was the signal for gas.] Riles, c’mon man that better be the false alarm. I just changed this diaper. You couldn’t have done it all when i changed it the first time? Let’s go find Mama, and keep those stink bombs to yourself. [He pointed close to the child’s tiny hand and to Puck’s surprise the baby’s own wrapped around it weakly. He was just a little one, but already that small action made Puck proud.] Hey, you gotta let go, little man. Daddy’s gotta find Mama. [After his son releases his finger, he sat the box on the floor, and stood with his son cradled in his arms, moving about the house to find his wife. He found her in their room, standing in the doorway, he said] Hey Mommy, your men have some news for you. Seb brought us by some donuts for National Donut Day. Sarah ran him off I’m guessing with her weirdness. but I’m going to shoot him a text in a bit.
