Arctic lightning air show! At the Eielson AFB! They had F16, F22, and F35 demos and a joint demo where they simulated a ground and air battle, complete with MATVs, ground forces and smoke bombs.
SUUUPER COOL!!!!!
The first pic is the F35, currently the most technological stealth fighter jet in the world. They are getting the F35s in Fairbanks, starting 2020. And with that, tons of new base employees and families. The air around it is it starting to break the sound barrier. Just under the speed of sound.
The other pic is the planes that are at this base, the C135 (refuels mid air and they did a demo of that too!), F22, and F35.
Super cool airshow and super glad we went! Also, like all of Fairbanks was there I'm pretty sure. Haha. Super awesome!
