I'm doing this for Faarih!

1. Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with?

Yes. Tajuddin is the only one around her age and they're as thick as thieves as they used to spend a lot of time together before he abandoned his family. More recently she's been spending time with Iassar while supervised (her fiance and the antagonist of the book) and now that Tajuddin's back, they spend a lot more time together, even though she knows Tajuddin's not telling her something.

4. Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?

She used to get really badly bullied for her vitiligo but after seeing Caspara take out two boys on her own to stop the bullying, she decided she wasn't going to stand for anyone's bs if they pushed her. So far no one knows because no one's provoked her. Yet.

5. On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?

A few smooth pebbles, an old rusted key and an embroidered handkerchief gifted to her when she was small, as is tradition in the Youssef family.

Hi! Happy Storyteller Saturday! I just discovered When Siren Blood Runs. I'd love to hear about Tajuddin and his sister! What's their relationship like?

Happy sts! That would make sense because when I stopped writing that story I kinda stopped talking about them 😅

However, Tajuddin and Faarih are very close nowadays. There's a lot of small tensions here and there, mostly related to Tajuddin's disappearing act that he pulled for six years, but apart from that and Tajuddin's ongoing rivalry with Faarih's fiancé, Iassar, they're doing pretty good. They both regard the other as smarter than them, so they both ask each other for help and advice whenever needed.

To the Love of MC's brother: So what kind of wedding do you want? Big affair? Small family? Exotic? Foreign? Just slip down to the city hall? Find a drunken sea captain and get it done? Travel to the Smith at Gretna Green?

(I'll get names up soon but just so everyone knows, his name is Iassar) Oh, um, of course. A wedding. I didn't know we were planning one yet. Well, seeing as we're both Muslims, and we don't want a big wedding, we'll just be in a mosque and read some verses for the Qu'ran (this is stressing me out a little! I haven't even chosen verses yet) then we'll exchange our marital vows in front of two witnesses. She wants her parents to be present and I have no family so I'm happy with that. No way is that dirty little brother going to be there, I hate his guts.

(I forgot to mention, I'm changing the MC's brother to a trans female so her name's still Faarih and in the story, she's also trying to find a name that suits her but isn't a dead name.)
