An author I just love is @justsomebucky. Their stories are one of the first one I started reading back in December and I am pretty sure the first AU’s that caught my attention. They aren’t just about falling in love, but the development of the characters into something they are beyond their present selves. There is a lot of emotions in her works, but they handle it very well and display it as part of their character development as they move from one stage to the other. 

JSB also had a real way with words that has had me crying or laughing in the middle of the night more the once! At the same time, they aren’t afraid to move outside of conventional happy ending, even if it hurts! I find myself re-reading their works a lot. So consider checking out their stories, if you haven’t.

The second series I want to point out for this is “Safe with Me” by @bitsandbobsandstuff . The summary goes as follows: 

Summary: When an unknown threat enters your life, protection is offered at the highest level. As Bucky Barnes comes into your life, the game changes, and you realise falling for the man tasked with keeping you safe is the last thing you expected.    

I want to say that this story just had everything: mystery, romance, slow burn. The author does such a balancing act between the person that Bucky wants to be but there are still things that haunt him, things that don’t allow him to connect to people but it never comes out a weakness -- but as a strong point that help him with the mission hand. It’s a Bucky that has done a lot to be the person he is now, but doesn’t forget what he once way. The mystery and its connection to both Bucky and the main character as so well done! 

I also love the main character -- she’s sassy, hardworking, and a bit of a tough nut to crack with a sailor’s mouth but she still has her moments and shows that she isn’t completely emotionally cut off. And the romance! Uggh, it’s such slow burn but soo fucking worth it, especially when everything goes their way ;A;. This story is perfection, so please consider checking it out!

Another story I want to highlight is Just One Kiss by @sarahwroteathing. 

Summary: Bucky Barnes has been chasing after you since he was ten years old, but you’re determined not to give in. How long can you hold out when all he’s asking for is just one kiss? (40′s happy ending AU)

This series is so cute. You can just tell right off the bat how in love Bucky is with the main character, but she doesn’t make it that easy for him. Their banter and interactions are so witty, but at the same time you can tell how crazy they are for each other. And in the end, it’s just what 40′s Bucky deserves. So consider checking it out when you can!.

Congrats for reaching the follower milestone! I'd love to recomment @Arawynn's story 'A Whole New World'.

Shout out to @arawynn ‘s “A Whole New World”. It reads as follows: 

In a world of werewolves you are the scapegoat of your pack – the Hydra pack. When another pack attacks, you become a captive in the famous Avengers-pack. Is it a jump from the frying pan into the fire? Or will you find somebody to love?

It’s a werewolf AU with Bucky as the main pairing. I started reading it and I am enjoying the concept and how it is addressing the main character’s problems due to the problems she has faced.

Comgratulations on 850!!! My favorite writer on here, by far, is @barnesrogersvstheworld. Her most recent, Love Told in Seven is phenomenal and heartbreaking! But I honestly like everything Attie writes ♥️

Thanks and shout out to @barnesrogersvstheworld i read through most of her stuff last night, and so far my fav is “Blackout”! And you’re right because of her stuff just leaves ya crying!

I just really wanted to highlight “Photograph” by @sebashtiansatan. 

Summary:  it took you and bucky for a while to realize you were keeping all the love in those little photographs.

It’s only a couple of chapters in but Elif is doing a great job in showcasing the past that Bucky and the main character share. I love the sweet dynamics that they have -- both of them love and support one another the best they can but the reader can tell there is something more there and I can’t wait to see how the dynamics change! It’s a really sweet story, so take the time to read it if you can!
