This is why I have so much trouble reading science fiction. I can’t stand info-dumping so I’d rather have the full context of things given to me little at a time throughout the book— have certain things be explained to me when it is important to the story. However I also understand why this would bother people too lol
Yeah, I guess it’s not easy to decide at what point in the story the information is necessary. And it’s definitely at different points depending on the story. As you said, with science fiction it’s usually sooner rather than later, while a mystery novel would be spoiled by that.

I owned this book for about half a year before reading it lol It’s amazing what great stories are waiting in the shelves
And a little depressing. How many of the books that I own, would be a new favorite for me. At least as long as I keep puttering around on earth, I will have time to read.

I really liked experiencing it again and being able to examine things more closely and notice details I didn’t the first time around
