Oh no don’t you dare bring my weird Ruka theory to light, publicly, on The Tumbler Dot Com. I’ll read all this and type up some responses when I have time. And might share my weird as hell idea.

Hey now, I didn’t mention what the theory was. All the public of Tumbler knows so far is that maybe at some point in the past you might have thought about the Juri arc a little bit, which I’m sure that no one could possibly have guessed. You’re the one casting aspersions of weirdness :P

Yeah, I enjoyed it. The art is good and a lot of the item text is nice and snarky. Joey was a solid character, I thought. I feel like there’s many hints for the next part(s?) but what was there was good. Some of it, I feel we’re supposed to ponder over and put together some pieces ourselves. One other character ended up acting really unexpectedly, but I imagine they’ll say more about that in the future.

Overall, without spoiling, I enjoyed it but feel like it should have been twice as long as it actually was.

I would have gone, “Welp, guess this isn’t getting localized” if they hadn’t already announced an English localization, but they have, so now I’m just praying the international release gets censored, because ew ew ew ew ew.

Nah, your answers are your honest opinion and I’m glad your shared it. I partially agree with you on a conceptual level (although I think certain characters’ narratives fall into specifically lesbian, bisexual, or gay experiences as opposed to generally “queer”) but as a “fangirl” — who enjoys shipping, silly fanworks, etc. — I was curious to see headcanons in particular.

You're not the only one weirded out by the artstyle or the fact that Eruca is now a moeblob.

moeblob. heck, that’s a great way to describe it. esp because aht and marco and the new girl turned out fine, which is like... all the characters who look like kids? (also good lordy, rosch’s hair. methinks somebody took the ‘lion’ thing too seriously)

I have not seen one single person who is more positive about the new art than “I think I’ll eventually get used to it.”

at this point my greatest fear is that in pursuit of mass appeal they’ll lose some of the design elements that made it stand out in the first place. i swear atlus. dont do this. dO NOT.

Panels are really rewarding, so I encourage you to go for it. :D Mine are all solo lecture-type panels, so it’s just a matter of developing the topic and applying for it at a con. (A lot of work goes into them, but getting on a panel is a relatively simple process is what I mean.)If you’d rather sit on a panel with other people, ask around if anyone is doing one like that or wants to host one with you. I think that you would really enjoy it and have a lot of good info.

Thank you! This is really helpful and encouraging to hear! Even though I’ve been cosplaying for 4 years, I sometimes still feel incredibly new to cosplay and con culture and just flat out don’t know certain things. Things like how the heck panels work. But they sound like something I’d like, so thank you, I’m definitely gonna look into them more now!
