One of my favorite products and cleansers I received when cashing in my beauty points was this gem right here. This cleanser by Tarte is strong enough to take of all your raccoon eye make up (ladies who love that smokey eye look know what I’m talking about, especially those times when we accidentally sleep in our make up!), but gentle enough to avoid irritating the most sensitive skin. This is definitely a keeper in my book. I will purchase the full size once I use up the remainder of my cleansers! Holy grail product right here!
Garnier Charcoal Clensers Review
A few months back when charcoal scrubs were all the rage in high end brands I wanted to try them but at the time I could not afford them. Image my delight to hear that Garnier has a drug store doup!
I went to my local CVS and bout what I thought was the charcoal scrub and went back to my dorm to try it out. What I had actually purchased was the Clean+ Shine Control Cleansing Gel.
When you squeeze it into your hand the gel is a gray color that is pretty smooth, I don't think there are microbeads. There is still charcoal in the product but it is so fine that it pigments the gel.
On the package it states that
In 1 use: Skin is deeply clean and shine free. After 1 week: Skin's clarity is visibly improved and pores are diminished.
After one use my face pretty clean and looked matte but there was not much difference upon touching it. It still felt rough in some places where I was getting over acne. After a week my my pores had diminished but I was having a problem with areas of skin drying out an having flaky skin. Because of that I cut use down to whenever I shower. It helps my skin stay clearer while not over using it causing dry skin.
Today while in Target I went looking for some since I left mine at school, to use at home. To my surprise they didn't have any but they did have the Clean+ Blackhead Eliminating Scrub, aka the charcoal scrub.
When you squeeze it into your hand it is a clear gel with some clear microbeads as well as small chunks of charcoal. It feel gritty on the skin.
The package says
In 1 use: Unclogs pores and smoothes skin. After 1 week: Pores are diminished and complexion is clear. 87% saw clearer skin.
I just got out of the shower and my first impression of it is YES! My skin feels smooth and clean and when I looked in the mirror a significant amount of blackheads on my nose are gone. I will let all of you know how it does after one week of use. I expect I might have some of the same dry skin problems but the grit will take care of flaky skin. I am excited that I found the product and can't wait to use it!
