I don't really want to write one this week. Instead I want to say that I wish some people would stop brutally insulting these artists. Saying things like "NOOO I ERIC SHOULD HAVE WON KRIS SUCKS" or "ANTHONY SHOULD HAVE WENT HOME ARE YOU KIDDING PEOPLE JUST LIKE HIM BECAUSE HE'S CUTE UGH"... guys, petty drama is gone. Now you're dissing people who are really working as hard as they can to stay focused and make their best art. Of course we have our favorites, but please show some more respect.

Face Off Commentary #8

Really impressed with this challenge idea! I've been waiting for sea creatures since the flowing seahorse that they sent underwater some time back.

I felt bad for Meagan, honestly. Giving her props for trying to complete something though.

The cast seems so close all the time. It's hard to watch them go.

Eric F.'s blacklight paint was really neat.

Anthony... well, no words this week. He knocked it out of the park completely.

Wayne's had a really amazing face sculpt. I loved that as soon as I saw it.

I see horns on a thing for next week and now I'm excited...

Face Off Commentary #7

I feel like such a bitch this season, I'm sorry.

Thank goodness. I literally felt the relief from all of you.

"Randomly selected teams" is the biggest ha-ha since those rumors about the Xbox 720.

House and Meagan's... mmm... can't say I agree with the praise it received.

Of course they were going to say things about teamwork and find a way to blame Eric Z. It's a show; they have to. Regardless it was clear who was going.

My how the tables turn. The competition seems to have flipped completely (or so the record shows). It's almost as if the season is evening out. (Okay I wouldn't go that far)

Eric F. just keeps doing these huge monsters for some reason and that's gotta change a whole lot real fast. He could do so much better if he could just reign it in.

STOP with the team challenges. This one has served its purpose but it's really going to need to stop now. I know it hasn't been but it feels like every challenge but one has been as a "team", because that's when everything falls apart, and man has it all been falling apart.

Remember last week when I saw the theme was werewolves and poked fun at zombies being next? Well, they weren't exactly "next" but hey, can I call 'em or what

Next challenge, again, looks awesome but there's a double elimination and I don't know if my heart can take it.

Face Off Commentary #6

Ok guys let's do this

I absolutely loved this, it's everything I adore and pretty much all of the contestants used it to prove that they belong here. Great work all around.

That was not a special super-new thing that they announced. It was a weird and rude announcement that was not only strange, but it also made no sense, considering Kris's was incredible in every way...

Oh man, Anthony struggling hurt me. Rooting for him to reign it back in next week!

I loved so many things about this week (foundation challenge notwithstanding and I don't wanna talk about it) so I will name my favorite makeups in order:

Kris Autumn (YEAH I SAID IT) Meagan (YEAH. I. SAID. IT) Alam

and therefore you can see why I'm angry with the decisions made but hey, the judges never agree with me anyway

That honeybee was just... hmmm. Nah...

Werewolves next week! Wow! After that I predict ZOMBIES. I know, long shot, but hey. The only thing attractive about that is the "other worlds" thing. That'll either make or break these folks.

Face Off Commentary #4

Anthony wasn't in the top looks. Let the tears commence... (I didn't think it was one of the top this time, personally, so I guess that's okay. It was still pretty cool.)

Jenna and Alex. No. Good thing Alex went home. 2 to go until the show can get on the road.

The blob scared the shit out of me.

Oh yeah let's do some more rock candy coming out of skin, please. I can understand if this challenge showed a common theme but that is the most random common theme ever.

Kris's actual makeup, ignoring the whole fact that it looks like candy stuck into a demon for no reason, was the most complete and neat so I liked it. (Please tell me he was at least being partially silly when he said that thing about stopping Anthony's streak. Maybe if some of these people didn't suck so bad at time management it would have been stopped a long time ago.)

ALAM'S SHOJO EYES AGAIN LMFAO. I loved her creepy doll creature.

House's is a cool concept but the mouth is the only thing I liked.

Autum's face was cool. That's it.

Couldn't even pick a bottom look this week. Just send all three of them home already.

Next week's challenge looks like it sucks. I'm so shocked!

Uh... I have a second commentary for all of the people who saw the little announcement after. If not, I'll tell you. There's apparently something going on called Face Off Redemption that will allow one axed contestant from this season to appear on the next season of Face Off. I can think of about zero people who would like this idea. Maybe people who though Michael could do better?

Face Off Commentary #3

Anthony is now 4 for 4. Deserving of course. Alam did wonderfully as well.

Can we talk about that demon with the awesome horns? The horns were great, in my opinion, and the eyes would have been cool, but that was it. Good silhouette and nothing else. Definitely not a win in my opinion. Loved when Alex's partner (STILL need to learn names) said "I must be fucking blind [if those horns are good]." (After that face sculpt too, LOL.) They were really the only attractive parts to me.

Eric F. has to win one soon. I really liked his Superhero.

Alex. Oh my God. You already know what I want to say

I really need to bring up that walker demon. It was my second favorite. I loved it, even with those arms, though I can see why Glen disliked them (he still needs to take it down a notch in general). If we're talking of demons, that was the only one that actually scared and impressed me. The icy effect on that face was just amazing.

Snake hand puppet lmao

I felt so bad for Jenna. I have a cyst in my left wrist and though that's nowhere near the level of pain and it's not my dominant hand, it's incredible how awful it can be to try to work with your hands when one or both of them is getting shock-like pains. How she managed that awesome face, I don't know. She did a great job even dealing with that. Props ^ 10.

I worship all of these people for their work despite anything I say here about them personally

Face Off, we need to talk (Commentary #2)

Okay, let's begin.

Every time I think of an average Face Off product I think of some grey hunchback creature with dangling hair. I think that's valuable but they need to steer in some more creative directions with their themes. They can be creative with beautiful as well as grotesque themes and I'd like to see more of that.

Anthony, once again, is absolutely incredible. I've never seen a contestant like this. He won three for three, and technically had to sacrifice the most of his original plan. Somehow it still ends up fitting the theme with an incredible paint job and doesn't even look like a damn thing is missing. Rooting for him to the end.

Some of these people keep dropping the term "anime" and if they're talking about the anime I know of, it's not any kind I've ever seen

I liked Eric's special effects. His idea was cool, and the organs were absolutely amazing. I was really impressed with that.

I cannot BELIEVE that the bird heroine wasn't in the top looks. I absolutely loved it, especially the color choices.

Liked the aquatic creature too.

That said... the bottom looks- all of them- were atrocious beyond belief. It was like they weren't even a part of Face Off. People were truly struggling this week and I could tell, but some of those ideas just did not make any sense in concept or execution. Really disappointed with those and I was not a fan of Michael anyway.

Why do I feel like there are five people on this show right now when there are over ten

Face Off Commentary #1

AND WE'RE BACK for another season.

Okay. This was an absolutely stellar start to the new season and that's really the overview here.

Anthony is my favorite. He's humble and a hard worker. I was really impressed with his work both times and wanted him to win both times. I felt so bad when he dropped the mold, and he worked hard to fix it.

Over half of the girls seem like average jerks and I'm not a fan.

The challenges were AWESOME. King and Queen was great. The crowns were great. I'll be honest- when I heard that they were doing GOBLIN kings, my heart dropped. I'm so sick of them doing stupid, rough monsters. But I was actually really impressed with nearly every single product.

The original concept drawings for the Ice and Volcano kings were stunning beyond belief and I almost cried. (The products, in comparison, are a different story.)

All of the people in the bottom 4 were the people I liked least. I have a bad feeling about Alex for some reason.

I actually predicted that Troy would go home and that someone would drop a modeling base before the show even got on the road and now I'm a little freaked out.
