They should make a rating for how Faceblind-friendly movies and especially TV shows are.
Especially dramas. it's not dramatic if I have no know who the characters are because I can't tell them apart.

I'm faceblind! I've wanted to make a vid on it for a long time.
It's a bit of me discussing what faceblindness is, how it feels, how it impacts my life, and then most of it is my flatmate reminding me of the price of hubris with a fun quiz.
Play along at home! This video is already diagnosing people.
my prosopagnosia is acting up
they're 2 different people
Faceblind culture is somehow thinking a 30 year old and a 20 year old are the same person because they wear similar clothes and both have black hair. Their faces? Look nothing alike
The funniest thing about being faceblind is that it took me probably more than half of the movie to realize that David and Walter were both played by the same actor, and that was only after googling it
That faceblind flashcard test is just false positives honestly because i was remembering the clothing and hair styles and actually giving my full concentration to remembering the patterns which is very much not how interaction with or seeing people move and speak works in real life because someone can come up to me, ask me a question, I go off to fine the answer and come back, and if they're not wearing a distinctive outfit or standing in the exact spot I left them I will not be able to confidently identify who I was on a quest for answers for 🫡
So at my work event, we were tasked with sitting with our clients during breakfast/lunch so we could get vibe checks on how they were liking things, suggestions, etc. We also had a 'uniform' while we were there - everyone had the same colored/logo'd polos for day one and two, and day three we could wear whatever color we wanted, long as it had the logo.
So, I'm sitting and being social at breakfast with one client and two of my other coworkers, and the client asks if the shirts were matching for a reason. One coworker explains that yeah, it's so the first two days people know where to look to for help, and on the third day if you don't recognize us, you're probably not attending the classes and shouldn't be there.
I, of course, laugh and explain that I'm faceblind and wouldn't recognize them if I saw them on the street the next day. Another client sits next to me, and I tell the story of the time I didn't recognize my own father, which gets the laugh intended (and very nearly a spittake, to my delight). As everyone laughs, I turn to the new client and ask them where they're from.
And then I realize they're wearing a polo.
And then I realize that it's actually a coworker I spent hours with just yesterday and I didn't recognize her because she'd changed her hairstyle.
If that wasn't a demonstration of what being faceblind is like, I don't know what is.
How good are you at recognizing faces?
I can recognize pretty much anyone’s face, even if I’ve only met them once
I’m a lot better than average
I’m better than average, but not anything crazy
I’m about average
I’m a little worse than average, but not terrible
I’m a lot worse than average
I can’t recognize faces at all, even those of my close family and friends
Do you suffer from face blindness? Seven signs and symptoms of prosopagnosia. Take a face recognition test!
^^ quiz if you’re not sure (10-20 mins, it tells you your decile at the end)
Legally, I think my family members should tell me when they make a drastic change to their appearance instead of it being a surprise
