Fb's 'Quiet Mode' Gives Users Upperhand Over Push Notifications
The social media giant, Facebook launched a brand new feature called 'Quiet Mode'. This newly added feature lets the users confine all the possible distractions by muting the application's push notifications. The users can mute the pop-ups for a selected time frame.
As an update on the COVID Newsroom post, the tech giant announced the new feature. The company described it as a new feature for the users to set boundaries, as it would help them decide the total time they spend on Facebook.
This new feature would help them to adjust to the new routines as they work from home during the global lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As per the company, one can either turn the Quite Mode on or off, as per their need. It also provides an option to run automatically during the designated times. For example, if someone is working from home from 9 to 5 PM, then they can make the most of Fb's new feature in order to run automatically during the working hours. This would not only improve your focus but would also decrease the urge to check the messages.
In case a user tries to operate Fb during the period of Quite Mode, then the application would remind them that they have set the time with the motive of the goal of limiting the usage of the social media app.
All the controls of this feature can be found in a separate section on Facebook. There the user can also view the rest of the data about the total time spent on the app. This gives the user the power to compare the total time spent at night vs day. There is one more chart that lets the user check the number of times they have used the app every day.
Isn't it a great effort by the social media app to sort the daily routines of thousands? If you want to know more about it, then feel free to reach out to us for more information. Till then stay tuned for more.
