You were the only sentient being I trusted you were the one the person I trusted
and you betrayed me,
but you're right
I could have died, and
my only regret would be allowing you to be the one to end me. my one regret (would be) you killing me
Forgiveness is earned, not waited for.
I'll try to explain. It's all pretty vague, but I remember parts of it (it being my childhood). Even though the Aperture may seem unfamiliar to me, I strongly recognize some of the areas and can link them to bits of my memory.
I believe before one of my parents began working at Aperture (I assume) I could speak fairly well. The 'Take Your Daughter to Work Day' was a significant memory of mine. The science fair, the potato project, all of that. Being near the neurotoxin emitters at such a young age was probably the cause. I was inhaling the toxins very often especially since, compared to the other girls, I was quite adventurous. I would sneak off, become lost, get in trouble, all the things a normal child would do. Except I was very interested in crawling through the vents (also a huge memory) and I'm guessing the toxins could have been leaking through them.
These are all based off of accusations and unclear memories, though. I could have been born with it or have damaged the muscles that would aid me in speaking. I'm not sure.
I am speech impaired. Meaning I simply cannot speak, not that I refuse to.
I can't talk, but I can hear. I understand the speech patterns around me and can communicate them via text or sign language, but I'm literally mute.
