I enjoy faceless characters, Ethan is a big example for me. I can't explain why exactly. Maybe because we're left to hear and feel their emotions instead of literally seeing them on their face? The mystery, or perhaps the sadness to it depending the character and story. Either way I just had to say this.

I was scrolling through the Nie Huaisang hashtag on TikTok and came across one if those “what if … was a faceless character” videos. Nie Huaisang literally is a faceless character for half the series. His role in the story is kept so secretive and isn’t revealed until the final book or few episodes based on if you’re reading or watching it.
