"Faceless Glow" by Genie Espinosa
Ghost Photo: The Cliffhanger
Does this photo show a faceless figure lurking on an impossibly steep embankment? #paranormal
The photo above comes from Dundas Peak in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The man in the picture writes: “Way below the edge of the trail, where the slope is too steep to stand on, there appears to be a thin person standing unnaturally straight with no visible face. I know you’re probably thinking that is probably just a brave hiker, but trust me, that spot is completely inaccessible. Maybe it isn’t a…

Peril of the Mind's Illusions ..........................
A surreal portrait of a man in a formal suit and bowler hat, whose head is replaced by a red balloon. He delicately holds a pin close to it, as if contemplating his own undoing. The image blends humor and tension, reflecting themes of vulnerability, self-doubt, and the precarious balance between confidence and collapse. The muted background and classical painting style heighten its dreamlike, philosophical mood.

I mentioned taking some pictures of the weird stuff my brother has around his house during my stay there over Thanksgiving, and while some of the pictures are just stuff that made me uncomfortable on a fundamental level (dear God, why does one man need that many taxidermy animals?), there is one thing I wanted to share:
(Third photo is the signature of the artist, which I swear I can’t read, but it’s dated 2013. I tried doing some Google searching, but haven’t been able to turn up anything.) I’ve seen this statue before, years ago when he was with his now ex at the house they lived in at the time. I thought it belonged to her, but lo and behold it turned up at his new place so now I can share it.
I remember running into a similar statue a few years back, with two people melting into one, both also faceless and wearing masks at a flea market type thing, so apparently this is a theme with the artist (wish I had a picture of that one, but if I had one it’s long gone).
But yeah, this caught my attention a while ago, and after the cult Mark started for funsies almost a year ago and the masks making a reappearance every now and then, I thought it would be fun to share this.
They just remind me a lot of those drama masks you see around, and I could absolutely see Actor Mark having something like this around his house.
Still don’t know what possessed my brother to pick this out, since it really doesn’t seem like his kind of thing, but again, this is one of the less uncomfortable things I found in that place. *shrugs*
Sometimes you play Monster Prom and your friends fall in love with eldritch horrors and want cute monsters of their own. Leslie belongs to me. (Left; Ancient Deity/ Zoe, Right; Faceless Figure/ Leslie)
