In episode 42, we review all the excitement of the last couple weeks -- a fourth, successful FacetimeLou, a weekend getaway to a cabin outside Bagdad, Kentucky (no, that is not misspelled), Humana Festival, and the governor’s decision to appeal Judge Heyburn’s ruling on out-of-state same-sex marriages. Linda also tries to help Melissa differentiate between Outkast and the Black-Eyed Peas.

This episode, the Veronica Mars movie is melting Melissa’s butter. Linda visited the Reynolds Grocery Company on Frankfort and spent all her money on bulk spices and snacks.

The first tweet-up I (Linda) ever attended was a surprise. I thought I was going to dinner and drinks with a few friends. Instead, it was one friend at the other end of a table of strangers. But I'm friends with at least two people I met there now. I know Twitter's connected Melissa to some of her favorite people, as well. Meeting Twitterers in real life is fun (and may change your life! Maybe). 

So whether you're a tweet-up newbie or a veteran who's already met everyone on this flier, we hope to see you at Silver Dollar at 6 PM on Thursday for #FaceTimeLou (it'll be my first one). Thanks to Alex Porter and Tommy Spalding for starting this event (and for keeping it going). 

"We aren't selling anything, no boring Powerpoint to sit through," says Alex.

Episode 8 is here to brighten your Monday! 

In anticipation of the relaunch of Le Petomane's show "5 Things", we invited them to come talk to us (bringing cocktails was all their idea). We learned about the play, their creative process, their college majors, and so much more. They also sang us a song! If you missed this show last year, you can see it at the Slant Culture Theatre Festival, which runs November 8-18th at Walden Theatre. 

On the theme of five things, we then look at five events we're excited about in the near future: the next Flea Off Market (we'll be there on November 10th), the Good Folk Fest, Winter Wednesday, #FaceTimeLou at the Silver Dollar, and Grayson Capps at the Hideaway Saloon. As always, there's plenty to keep us busy in Louisville.
