I'm a food on ya face kind of Dame. This super easy DIY strawberry mask removes dead skin cells, as it leaves your skin bright & healthy. 🍓🍓🍓🍯🍋🌞 Ingredients: 5 fresh strawberries (minus the stems) 1 Tablespoon organic honey 1/4 fresh lemon (cut as a wedge) 🍓Strawberry – A natural source of salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a common anti-acne ingredient used to clean out pores, get rid of blackheads without over drying the skin, and is used as a natural exfoliant. 🍯Honey – The antibacterial properties in honey benefit acne-prone skin by reducing breakouts and healing current flair ups. Also a natural humectant, it locks in necessary moisture to keep skin soothed and hydrated. 🍋Lemon – Packed with Vitamin C and antioxidants, lemons are natural astringents that tighten pores and #brighten the complexion. Their Vitamin C properties help to to even out skin tone and good for minimizing the appearance of acne scarring. DIY Instructions: 1. Cut up the strawberries into tiny pieces on a plate. 2. Using a fork, smash the strawberries to extract the juice and keep doing so until the strawberries are of mushy consistency. 3. Pour pulpy strawberry mixture into a bowl. Squeeze the lemon wedge into the bowl and add a tablespoon of organic honey. 4. With a spoon, mix until all of the ingredients have combined as one. You may use a whisk to bind the ingredients together if needed. *If the mask is too liquidy for your preference, add extra honey and stir again. If the mask is too thick, add more strawberry and lemon juice. And don’t forget to mix! How To Use: This is definitely a mask to use immediately because the ingredients are most potent within minutes of mixing them together and make their benefits strongest. (A) You have the option to refrigerate for 10 minutes prior to applying so that the mask is cold and will feel more soothing on the skin or (B) you can apply it to your face straight from the bowl. For best results leave the mask on your skin for 7-12 minutes & wash off w/ warm h2o.
