Resurgery of Multiple Facial Fractures This young man had been involved in a road traffic accident. Surgery had been performed emergently at his hometown following the accident. Unfortunately, this had been done poorly with resultant facial asymmetry. His right eye was lower than his left and he had an anterior crossbite. He had suffered comminuted fractures to his maxilla and right zygoma. His maxillary fracture had been fixed without proper reduction of the fracture segments. This had resulted in an anterior crossbite. He also had an untreated blowout fracture of his right orbital floor. Treatment began with fixed orthodontics to decompensate his arch and to ensure perfect alignment of the teeth. He underwent a Le Fort I maxillary osteotomy with correct repositioning of his maxilla. His zygomatic bone was refractured and set in proper anatomic alignment. This was performed through transconjunctival as well as intraoral incisions. A Medpor graft was used to set right his blowout fracture after release of entrapped musculature. This resulted in complete normalization of his facial features. There was complete correction of his crossbite. He expressed his satisfaction at the results of the surgery. 📞 Phone: +91 44 4294 7222 📬 Email: [email protected] 🌍 Website: www.smbalaji.com 📍 Location: Chennai, India #lefort # osteotomy #fracture #facialfracture #crown #ceramiccrown #drsmbalaji #smbalaji #balajidental #maxillofacialsurgeon #indai #chennai #tamilnadu #dentalhospital #dentalclinic #maxillofacialsurgery (at Balaji Dental and Craniofacial Hospital) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_61YY7FaM7/?igshid=1cl59ujgvtpm7
