the thing is. petri doesn’t Want to be a main character. she told me so. the old petri tolerated it but the latest version wants nothing to do with it. and it feels Really Weird to make my first Real Ocs, the characters that i created the whole universe around, side characters. it’s not right :(
and to be fair. the Original Petri and the Current Petri are not the same person. they have similar designs and personalities and share the same name but they’re Different. current petri is half the person that original petri is/was and that’s Okay but makes things incredibly difficult for me. .

itch is an alien on Unnamed Earthlike Planet.or they’re part alien. one of many alien experiments.
paint is part alien on a Different Planet and doesn’t know that she’s part alien. stain knows. neo knows. and paint’s/stain’s superiors know. but she’s a normal girl
so obviously removing any of the Risk and Tension from itch and petri makes it boring. virion is cool with petri adopting itch, and itch Is Human at this point in time, so i’m left with slice of life. which is fine! it’s very domestic and cute! but. But. it doesn’t fit in with the facilityverse development around it and it doesn’t Go Anywhere. they’ve lost their freakiness…. and it’s genuinely such a shame.
What Now? what can i even change to make them more interesting? if i turn itch into an alien, that adds a little more tension and interest, but not enough for me. although i Can play with the idea a lot more and bullshit a lot more than i can with the Real Life Genome Editing And Real Life Cloning Process that is incredibly beyond my ability to comprehend.
