Why Humans became attractive to Viruses?

Viruses and bacteria have been on Earth for 4 billion years. From the beginning of life. Whether they originated on Earth or came from outer space doesn't matter. They are the first life forms on Earth. Single-celled organisms. Viruses and bacteria fight with each other and sometimes they are alies for mutual benefit. They are the forerunner of all life on Earth. They are the beginning of everything.
How viruses survive and how they have survived all these 4 billion years, it seems rather unreal from our perspective. Something so simple and by our standards, unconciouss and without intelligence, can survive throughout the time and under all conditions...
