Do you have a favourite artists that has also designed book covers? 🔻 Mine is Shepard Fairey @obeygiant. He is the artist behind these three brilliant Orwell covers. If you look closely you will see why I am in complete and utter shock! Fairey happens to be in town (read why below) and I was lucky enough to have my books SIGNED by this incredibly kind and talented man! I am so grateful. 🙏🏼 Shepard Fairey is an American contemporary street artist and activist. You may remember his “Hope” poster which he created for the Barack Obama 2008 presidential campaign. This artist has spent the past week here in Vancouver creating a 20 story, 10,000 square foot mural on the side of a building downtown (swipe left to view). This new mural is called “Earth Justice”. It shows planet earth as the centre of a flower, cradled by a pair of hands. It is part of his Earth Crisis series. In Shepard Fairey’s words, “it is a call to respect and nurture the planet, with the understanding that our individual and collective actions dramatically impact current and future generations. FACING THE GIANT. Nothing is impossible. Ngayun ko lang napanuod itong palabas, pero talaga napaiyak ako Hindi dahil sa galing ng actors. Dahil nakita ko kung paano ipinakita ng palabas na ito kung paano kumikilos si Lord sa oras na tayo nasa gitna na pagsubok, at humaharap sa mga malalaking pagsubok ng buhay natin. Dapat Hindi tayo panghinaan ng loob instead mas kumapit at mas magtiwala pa sa Kanyang kapangyarian na lahat ng bagay ay kayang Nyang gumawa ng Himala. Sobrang nakaka-inspire itong palabas. Si Lord lang ang may power na magbago ng buhay natin. Piliin natin na magpasakop sa Kanyang presensya. At Hindi tayo mapapahiya. In God's time lahat ng pinagpi-pray natin sa Kanyang ay ipagkakaloob nya ayun sa Kanyang kagustuhan. Dahil mas Sya ang nakakaalam kung ano ang makakabuti sa atin. Magtiwala tayo Sa Kanya.
