#ProjectBetsy
What's this silly-sounding "project", you may ask? Well, I'll tell you.
About a month or so ago my boyfriend got back into Factorio. He even showed me his progress and needless to say, I adored every moment of it. He mentioned how he once made a plushie of a biter from the game (a bit insect-like creature thats only goal is to eat your base to ashes), but something happened to it (I'm not sure what because my mind already hung onto the idea of a biter plushie), so he doesn't have it anymore. And I decided I will make him one since Valentine's day is coming up, and because my main love language is gift giving anyways.
Side note; never have I ever made an actual plushie, let alone something so detailed. I'm not a master at sewing either (and I've no sewing machine).
... But my ego told me I could do it. So at 17:30 I got up from my bed and gathered fabrics I had, an plush toy to cut up for filling (my mom received that plush from an icky person, don't mourn it), my very basic sewing kit, and my confidence. Without doing measurements or blueprints or anything, I rawdogged the situation and just started going at it. Surprisingly, I only fucked up minimally and very few times – I'm sure my ego is being stroked now, that I didn't fail a project I have no experience in. While working, I grew attached to this odd little insect alien and began calling it Betsy, this explains the title. By the time I finished, it was 01:55, and man, am I proud of the results. Betsy came out scrunkly and a bit uneven but that's why I love her. She's just a silly baby.
Meet Betsy!
