One of the strange things of getting/being a factive of someone We know from social media is that chances are the factive in question internally looks like their source's profile picture. Which might be some random character. Making the factive in question technically also a fictive but not really in the traditional sense.

Yes I look exactly like Character from Media. No I am not Character. Any similarities between myself and this fictional story is pure coincidence. Yadda yadda. It's such a weird feeling lol

I hate how shame is such a common factive experience. Why should we be ashamed of existing?! We're "weird"? Good! Fuck normalcy and arbitrary expectations! We make others uncomfortable? Well, that sounds like a them problem, because we're not harming anyone, and one person's discomfort doesn't override another's right to exist as themselves in peace. Besides, it's not like they're gonna get over themselves if they never have to confront their discomfort, so I'm just gonna stay here and you can tell me when you're ready to treat me with respect.

factive culture is being so scared to reveal who you are. we haven't put either of our factives on our pronouns.cc based only on the stigma around it. especially since we both REALLY want to come out. the other one (not me) is a semi-famous comedian. he wants to talk to everybody, have fun, be known. but we can't because so many people are anti-factid. i dont even get why...
