Honestly, none. It was a terrible course and it was hindered by the fact that Mr. J had way too many things on his plate that got in the way of his teaching.

2. Did any qualities or teaching practices of the instructor hinder the success of the course?

He kept pushing back every project! According to the syllabus, we were initially supposed to have about three weeks to work on each project but because of the delay, we had the last five days in the semester to work on the final project. How is that fair? Although Mr. J may say to himself, "My students have two weeks to work on the final project, they'll be fine" he couldn't be more wrong. He assigned the final project on Nov. 25, two days before Thanksgiving Break where students were either taking a much needed break from school or studying for the last reporting exam that was on Dec. 3rd. After that, there was only one day to gather video, audio and pictures for his final assignment. After that were Reading Days when students are way too busy studying and panicking about finals to sit down to be interviewed. Honestly, I feel like Mr. J should have owned up to his mistake of pushing back projects and canceled the fourth one.

3. What is your opinion of this course, including printed materials?

It was honestly terrible. He sent out emails every other day with what to do and what not to do for the projects and it gets frustrating and confusing. The whole reason he had to send out multiple emails in the first place was because his directions were obviously not clear.

4. Please indicate any particular comments you believe would be helpful to the instructor in improving the overall quality of the course.

If you make a schedule, please follow it. Have a more fluid grading scale, as it stands, the grades for projects were either an A, a C or an F. How is that an appropriate reflection of how students did on an assignment? Also, remember that this is a 1 credit course so although students do have to try, we shouldn't have to want to pull our hair out.

5. Add any other comments. Choose your career or teaching but not both. Also when you assign a project/send out the rubric, send out the lecture as well. Why was there a nine day gap between you sending out the project four rubric and the project four lecture? That is highly inefficient. There is a lot more I want to say but I've resisted the urge to write out my anger and frustration in caps lock for far too long.
