oh, okay. that makes sense. the thing i like about the charade is that there are underlying feelings there. it’s tragic, i think, because she’s acting but eventually finds that it’s not hard to act. btw, you should read mockingjay and get depressed..
I think that I've come to like the charade a little more now that time has passed. I thought the cave scene in the movie showed those underlying feelings brilliantly, and that the flashbacks to him leaving her the bread really reinforced that. (The braid touch at the end was particularly nice.) And especially towards the second book, it does get tragic, because--to quote one of my shows here--caring is not an advantage when you're competing against each other in the Games and when you've sparked a rebellion that could lead to either one of you dying.
I plan to read Mockingjay soon! I don't quite have time at the moment, but my parents are reading the books now and I plan to read it when I have time in the next few weeks. I own it, just haven't mustered up the time and emotional strength to read it yet!
