As I sit back reflecting on life and the new opportunities that coming my way, I think about a time when one of my homies called me a “d!@k rider” due to my unwavering support of one of my clients. I was perplexed because as an entrepreneur my livelihood is contingent on my clients success. It seems simple to me: they do well, I do well. What he failed to realize that ones success doesn’t merely come at the hands of one singular person. Often there’s a team of people behind the veil; the car looks good but how’s the engine and transmission? For me, my team was my family, close friends, and hunnie bunni who all advocated for me when I wasn’t in the room plus tell me when I am f*@king up. You need people like that around you that wholeheartedly care. Crazy thing, as I continue advocating and growing beyond my wildest dreams, he has abandoned his dreams and slid into contentment. I wonder if he had somebody “d!@k riding” him where would he be? #FillmoreHarvard #growth #AustinManagementGroup #FadedProduction #MovingOnUp (at Merchandise Mart) https://www.instagram.com/p/BqxWDl2FD6C/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=821j0ax0mu0u
