I received a request of a "Fading Text" tutorial and so now I'm making one for the books again! This tutorial will show you how to make an image appear like this!
Make sure you have Photoshop and some slamming font! Once you gather those come and gather in this post!
1. Plan out what your background will be. Weather it be just a fading text transparent background, one with a design or fading text on a GIF, have it prepared for the font!
In this tutorial I'm using a simple made background and I created "11 Frames" for my fading text gif. [IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE 11 FRAMES. IT CAN BE SHORTER THEN THAT. JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH FRAMES FOR THE TEXT TO FADE IN AND OUT. I WOULD SAY ABOUT 6-11 FRAMES MAX.]
2. Above your exisiting layers in your "LAYERS panel", you're going to add your text!Write whatever you want and place them where you want it to be.
3. Now, it's time for the FADING TEXT EFFECTS! Select the first FRAME in your frame and then go to your LAYER'S panel and set the FONT that you want to fade to "0"%!
After you set the first frame to "0", go to the next frame and SET THE OPACITY OF THE FONT LAYER set it to "20"%. You go on to the next and set the opacity to 40%, then for the next frame, 60%, then for the next frame, 80% and then 100% for the next one!
Once you reach 100% in the middle, CHANGE THAT FRAME TIMING TO 1 SEC or above for a prolonged view instead of a quick .10 seconds.
Then you move on to the next frame and then set the opacity to 80%, set the next frame layer opacity to 60%, set the next to 40% and then 20% and then finally 0%
Your frames should look like this now!
Now it's time to save it like you normally would a GIF.
This is how it should end up looking!
