My theories on Wednesday season two (the ramble you and nobody asked for)

Sorry this took so long. I wanted to get my second rewatch in and I spent all of Wednesday reading wenclair fanfic 😭 I’m rewatching it again now and I have more thoughts! Are they coherent? Never. This is long. I’m not apologizing.

I LOVE the jealousy. If y’all know me you know I am here for jealous Enid. It’s very her. I know a lot of people are upset with Enid this season (aside from the jealousy part a lot of people are loving that) and I can understand why but also everything Enid has done makes sense for her character. Especially her getting pissed at Agnes. Which is so funny! I will admit I instantly hated Agnes for trying to kill Enid. I was a bit agressive— and I still don’t trust her but the jealousy and the rage baiting Agnes does is sooo funny.

Now I’m going to dive into some theories I have ✨

I’d first like to start off with the eye foreshadowing because personally it’s the most obvious thing that they are doing. Shout out to @ jennaslipfreckl on twitter for pointing out the blood over Enids eye in the vision. It wasn’t something I initially picked up on but the crow missing an eye has been *very* obvious and I do think that’s intentional. Also during the scene in episode two where the knives are coming down while laying on the floor we have a sideways shot of it slowly going towards Enids eye. This felt very purposeful. Twos a coincidence and three is a pattern! I suspect she’ll lose her eye or get a gnarly scar (or both I’m here for both) I love Enid she is my baby but… scars are hot I’m sorry.

Speaking of eyes I have a bone to pick with EVERYTHING. I don’t trust anyone. To the point all my theories might come off as insane.

The crows pick out eyes. The stalker cuts out eyes. Sure okay, the stalker is Agnes, I don’t fucking trust her. At all!! Honestly, I agree with a lot of people who are saying Bruno and Agnes are working together to separate Wedneday and Enid. There’s a line Enid says in episode two that I picked up on my second time around and I feel like it only furthers my point.

“Only Wednesday Addams would have multiple stalkers.”

It’s a throw away line. Enid says it and we move on like it’s nothing but it’s not nothing. There isn’t just one stalker! There isn’t just one person, Agnes, doing all of this. I feel like it’s meant to hint towards the bigger picture. Everyone’s saying there’s too much going on this season, which yes, there is. But I’m telling you by the end of this everybody is going to connect one way or another.

I really personally don’t want Capri to be evil. Mostly because they did the evil teacher last season and I think doing it again is kind of boring. However, during episode two (I know I’m saying a lot about episode two but I literally just finished watching that one again so stay with me) she’s the one to find Wednesday outside. She was purposefully looking for Wednesday. Which we could write off, sure, yeah, whatever.

HOWEVER! The way Capri speaks in that scene is incredibly intentional. It is what gets Wednesday to understand the letters on the card left behind were notes that needed to be played. IN THE FUCKING MUSIC ROOM! I feel like this was a very intentional hint done by Capri to lead Wednesday to the clock tower. Whether she knew she was doing it or not. (My friend also has a theory about Capri but that’s his so I’m keeping it between us but if he is right oh my goddd genius)

Speaking of knowing you’re doing something or not. Sirens! Agnes has stated she’s blackmailed students. Like she’s point blank said that. Now do I think the odds of a 13 year old being able to manipulate a siren are low? Yes. However I do think we should consider the odds of ANYONE having a siren on their side (the avian lady, or Capri being told to go find wednesday and give her a hint *if* she isn’t already agreed to be a part of it without cohesion) to manipulate or coherence people into the plot.

I think there’s a lot unsaid about the sirens we need to start picking up on. Especially after the whole morning song bullshit. The odds of sirens being used to manipulate others is high. We only have the first four episodes and a ton of stuff was packed into them. (Yes, maybe too much)

We all have eyes on Agnes. She’s a big player. The rage baiting, her stealing Galpins phone, giving Wednesday his eyeball. It could just be because of what she said but it’s far too connected to the avian lady for my liking. I feel like we got a bunch of stuff far too easily. The floor is going to be ripped from under us and Wednesday going into a coma was not it. Bruno has been wrapped around Enid, sometimes literally, and it just drives it home mroe. I can 100 percent see him using Enids feelings to manipulate her into trusting him. He’s built this image around himself with her to make him vulnerable and like a carbon copy of how she feels. She was a runt. She has anxiety and fear that makes her claws jump out. He’s giving her all she wants and Enid is jumping blindly into it because this is the first time she’s fully feeling popularity and everything she’s wanted. The pack *likes* her and it wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to know how to manipulate Enid. (Sorry my baby you are still my favorite)

Oh, random. I also think Slurp is going to create more zombies. But like nobody believes me on that one so… I’ll probably be wrong.

EVERYTHING is a plot to seperate Wednesday and Enid from one another! (Do I sound crazy? Yes. Absolutely.)

On another note. FUCKING DORT! I didn’t notice this my first watch but during episode three they show a picture of Gideon (morning song cult leader) meaning they casted him. And he’s said to not have been picked up in the raid. I’m sure a lot of people aren’t really connecting this storyline because it feels so random but nothing is random. I believe that Gideon was on the phone with Dort in episode four (I believe it was in four) and somehow morning song is involved with this shit. At least some part of it. Morning song and Gideon are going to be a bigger player than we think they are. They wouldn’t have this storyline with Bianca and her mother if it meant nothing. They wouldn’t show us his picture and specifically say he wasn’t captured if it meant nothing.

Anyways this is long. I think I rambled a lot. I’m sure there is more I can say about what we have but I’m watching episode three and four in a few minutes so I’m leaving it here.

Just wanted to pop on here and say I’ve been reading all your wenclair works ever since sweet and sour and not a bit nice which was the first wenclair fic I had ever read and I still struggle to find wenclair ficts that reach that level of love that I have for it! Don’t even get me started on jealousy, jealousy I am yours-I know you often get a lot of love for it-and I hope you don’t ever get annoyed with people telling you that-but that fic is a comfort fic to me personally. Anyway, I look forward to all your ficts and even the small updates you do about Enid’s brothers ages 🤣 thank your sticking with wenclair for so long! Now that I got my fangirling over with, what did you think of the teaser? Any predictions? Netflix finally showed Enid! And her look is adorbs!

Hi! Thank you so much! I could literally never get tired of people telling me they love my works. That goes for any of them. It gives me so much motivation to hear. Even if it’s for finished works like “jealousy, jealousy” and ahhh !!! That’s so awesome that “sweet and sour” was one of your first! Thinking back on that one and how it was the 90th fic posted on ao3 for wenclair Will always blow my mind. It makes me happy to hear, and that even my small updates about Enids brothers you look forward to. I always wonder if people care about stuff like that so it makes me really happy to hear! And I’m not just saying that, it genuinely does make me happy.

I’ve actually been trying to work on “hold my hand, it’s sunny outside” recently. I’ve written a little bit for it and probably one of the funniest sequences is about to occur in it. At least, it is currently one of my favorites because of how ridiculously high school and teen drama it is.

That being said, here is a little sneak peak with absolutely zero context. I wrote it like the day before yesterday or something. But hopefully I can get a chapter out soon :)

Okay, now THE TEASER!!! Oh my godddd! I was absolutely estatic! Waiting for it to come out and knowing when I’d wake up it would be there had me going through the roof. I’ve stalked the Wednesday IMDB page so many times I knew there would be a TSA security check and that scene did not disappoint! And ENID IS SO CUTE. I am still sad they didn’t keep her scar because I personally really wanted face scar Enid but I do understand how much of an effort the makeup department would have had. We had like one picture of enid and that tiktok so it was awesome to get the “howdy roomie” again.

The doll! Okay, I have thoughts. Most of them is me trying to pull anything out of thin air. I am absolutely dreadful at theories. The only theory I ever got correct was Wednesday meeting Enid at the boat which took me by surprise. It was literally the stupidest prediction that became correct.

My first thought regarding the dolls was that each doll signifies a person. I don’t want to say voodoo dolls. I was honestly thinking about that one really horrific episode of criminal minds. And that each doll is supposed to represent someone Wednesday either cares about or someone around Wednesday.

Secondly, I think the kidnapped photo of her tied to the chair could be a vision. Maybe that’s insane of me to say, especially since we know she gets the doll. But it’s just one thought out of many. A lot of people have been talking about the blood so it made me wonder if we would see the blood both in the vision or out of the vision.

If it’s *not* a vision then I would say she 100 percent has one in that chair. It’s the first episode (at least it should be a lot of people are saying it is especially since the doll) but also like ??? I’m kind of like how do we know she even GOT the doll from that creepy place. Sure, I’m sure she does. Whatever. But also what if she didn’t? I feel like an idiot looking at one photo from every angle and pulling all its strings. That doll is definitely fucking cursed though.

We could totally start the season with her being kidnapped with her stalker and that immediately being gotten out of the way. That doesn’t have to be the main plot of season two. We know there’s a slasher themed ep that I’m really excited for. I do think the masked villain is either morning song, or apart of that slasher episode. But a killer doll AND a masked killer would go kind of insane. Im really interested in hearing more about morning song though. We did get one shot of Bianca and I know there’s theories about her becoming Tyler’s master but I just don’t like that one. It could be true, maybe, but either way I don’t think I care. I also don’t know what she would use Tyler for besides killing morning song and her mom, maybe. I don’t know if even Bianca has the balls to kill her mom though. Her step dad who is running the cult tho??? She would DEFINITELY kill him for sure. Wouldn’t it be insane if the new headmaster is the cult leader of morning song. I can’t remember if it was a guy or girl (the new headmaster not morning song cult leader) but I’m pretty sure it was a guy.

At this point I am fully rambling. Let me think—

Okay I watched the teaser again. Every family has dark secrets could just be about what we’ve already seen. Like Morticia warning Wednesday away from keeping secrets. On the other hand the Addams are the Addams so it could literally be ANYTHING I would say though if it’s Morticia and Gomez hiding something *again* it would be a little eh. The whole family being in on something would be interesting. I can think of like sacrifice’s from old ancestors that gave them power or something but then I feel like that might throw off the outcast lore they kinda have built. Wednesday keeping a dark secret and Morticia knowing it would also be insane. I could see maybe Wednesday drew what she saw or someone drew a prediction??? If Morticia is a dove I don’t see how she would see a *dark* vision like Wednesday unless it has some sort of good ending. But I guess that also depends on Morticias definition of good. I’m trying to think about who drew in the journal is what I’m getting at. Like Morticia snooped and found something about her daughter and is now warning her about keeping secrets or something ridiculous. there could also be a thing about the Ravens being hurt/dying painfully because of their visions and that is the dark secret. That could explain the graves as well. It did say Addams, and it could be an old Addams but it also could be wednesday.

I know a lot of people talked about the Enids grave. Spoiler if you haven’t seen that— sorry. It definitely has to be in a vision(Dear god I hope) but if it’s in the same graveyard as the addams one I can maybe guess that she has a vision they ALL die ??? And I mean like everyone she cares about. Or maybe just the people she cares for the most. Her family, and Enid. Obviously.

This has been really long- sorry. I don’t really have anyone to talk to about Wednesday so I guess I took the chance and ran with it dhdhdh all my thoughts are really dumb and don’t really hold any ground but there they are!

I was thinking about what my top fics of all time were. Some of them are newer, and some of them I’ve been thinking about for years and will probably never stop thinking about.

No one asked but here you go

(in no particular order)

1. Wilted Petals (hosie, orphaned work)

This fic perfectly scratched that part of my brain that wanted dark hosie. It’s well written, heart wrenching and the angst I will never get over. Reading this have everything the show was too afraid to give us when it should have.

2. On Purpose (rilaya, scoutshonour)

I say this with my whole chest this is without a doubt the best rilaya fic ever. It is genuinely my top time favorite fic ever. The characters are written exactly how they should. The author knows how much I adore them, we talked about it a lot. I will continue to think about this fic for the rest of my life.

3. When The Stars Go Out, I Want You Holding My Hand (imodna, lespetitesmorts)

I just read this so it’s fresh in my brain. I never thought I’d like library aus but this fic is such a perfect piece of both of these characters. It makes me not only want more library aus but for it to never end. I think I could continually read about them being lovely and dorks and sweet to one another for all eternity with this fic.

4. yours, eurydice (wenclair, henjisgirlfriend)

OH MY GOD!!! If you follow my wenclair fic account you will know this one changed me. Like- I don’t know how but it physically touched my soul. I felt it guys. I really felt it.

5. the greatest films of all time were never made (hosie, peabrainI3)

My favorite tag is very niche I would say because it is actors au. I don’t know what it is but this fic perfectly had everything I ever wanted for it. I left such a long comment too (I might do that more than I think tho-) I wish I could reread it again for the first time. I wish I could experience the absolute thrill and joy of finding THE most perfect fic for my most favorite tag.

There are some from when I was younger that were on wattpad that I’ve never forgotten but I think all of them are deleted and honestly I’m not sure I’d agree with my 13 year old self. I still think about them, though. I think about a lot of works that have allowed me to feel so many things. Which is a great feeling. Shout out and thank you to every author ever you have cradled my soul and many others in your hands.

hold my hand, it’s sunny outside : chapter three, seventh grade (2)

Description

Somehow Enid and Wednesday are an investigating duo to the indignation of the both of them. Enid can’t lie to save her life, but maybe the truth is the best lie.

The past month Enid and Wednesday had stared at the new board, to Enid's squeamishness, in the center of their shared room. Wednesday made sure not to add the gruesome photos of the dead bodies from the girls last year. Instead, she used yearbook photos, or with Enid's help, pictures she could find online. They printed them out in Nevermores library, hanging on the board.

Enid is still unsure what they’re looking for. Wednesday thinks there has to be a motive. Enid still very much wants to believe this wasn’t really happening. Wouldn’t the police think this too, if it were true? They didn’t even suspect Maeve was connected to the girls last year but Wednesday was so determined that there was a pattern nothing swayed her.

Enid really didn’t want Wednesday to be right.

Then Julie, a senior, went missing two weeks later. So she was on the board now too. A selfie she took not even the day before her disappearance but the day off. She looked happy, smiling wide with fresh curls and makeup done.

None of the girls looked alike. None of the girls were in the same classes. And upon Wednesday's further investigation, she informed Enid none of the girls were friends.

“But they told us last year Emery, Clarke, and Isla were friends? And they ran away together.” Wednesday had nearly imploded there. Her reaction was dull. A deep sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose because this had to be Enid's hundredth objection to her investigation.

“Do your own research if you don’t believe me.”

So, Enid did. In the only way she knew how. The internet was everything. Enid practically lived on it growing up back home when all her brothers were gone. It felt like a safe place when she wasn’t at school, and to get away from the bigger picture of everything.

Their social media’s were a ghost town. A stark reminder to jab their dead bodies into her head faster than a race car. Enid had to take several breaks. She kept looking, kept digging and scrolling through every picture, and video they had. She even looked through their tagged list. Nothing.

At least Emery and Clarke ran in the same circles. But Isla was a freshman. The two seniors had maybe a few classes together, went to the rave’n at the same time but their friend groups weren’t rather intertwined. It could be something, but it just wasn’t enough. In this day and age if you were friends with someone they were all over your feed. Or at least in one picture. Even in the background of a measly video Enid would take as evidence.

Enid asked around. Started to bring up Maeve and Julie as well. Did they hang out? Who did they hang out with? Did they have any enemies? Wednesday approved of that question because it meant Enid was finally realizing the truth. That the whole big thing was a gigantic mess.

Description

Enid’s blog was supposed to be fun. And it was. For her, she absolutely adored it. But some people really did not agree with her work ethic.

The case on Emery, Isla, and Clarke had ended just two months shy of summer break. An animal attack, that’s what they said. Wednesday didn’t believe them. Enid wanted to believe them. She believed Miss Thornhill, but maybe Miss Thornhill didn’t have all the information. She was just a teacher, after all.

Enid kept thinking that as reassurance. Wednesday's eyes danced with something depraved. Danced with the dead that now felt like they haunted the woods where their bodies were found all together. They were a few miles from Nevermore, only found because a hiker had wandered a few minutes off the main trail.

Enid wasn’t going to be like Wednesday. Creepy, and believing that the worst had to have happened. Bears lived in the woods. She’s never seen one up close but she seen pictures and statues enough to know what they could do to a human. Even if that human was an outcast.

Overall, if you didn’t think about the investigation, and Wednesday, Nevermore wasn’t that bad. She actually made friends, a lot of them. And their dorm mom miss Thornhill wasn’t mean or strict at all. Enid thinks she actually was one of the best to have. They still had rules, but she gave them a lot more wiggle room than most teachers. Maybe because she was a normie, but Enid didn’t care.

Seventh grade was going to be her year. A new year meant no more Wednesday Addams. And no more Wednesday Addams meant she could actually be happy and alive in her own space and not wanting to rip a girl's throat out. Or wanting to claw her own brain to pieces. No more crying in her teacher's lap! No more sulking! Her family would be proud of her for that thought.

Yes! I’m actually kind of sad I missed my every 7months update. Somebody commented about it like a week after I realized. I have written some of the next chapter but I’m unsure when I’ll finish it/update it. That fic is genuinely one of my favorite things but I’ve been having a really hard time writing quite literally anything for like- the past year and a half? I think, at least. It’s been a struggle and I’m very annoyed about it. But I will at some point update it— I don’t know when— and I’m also not promising anything at all. But I do very much hold that fic dearly in my heart.

Oh my goddd!!! I need you to know this means SO MUCH especially because that fic is my all time favorite. It makes me so happy that you feel as deeply as I do about it. “know that your brain reached across rhe vortex and tickled my brain and i have brain scars now” an absolute VISUAL and makes me ahhhh oh my goddd honestly I’m always really surprised with the few people who enjoy that fic. It means a lot that you think about it AND found my tumblr just to say something about it.

I have about 3k words of the chapter but it’s not finished yet. If you stalked my tumblr a bit you’ll know that I’ve been dealing with some really intense writers block as of the past year or two. (Also depression but we’re doing our best ✨) I really want to update it and I will continue working on it. You definitely are helping me get motivation so I appreciate it a lot 💞thank you truly so fucking much! I will genuinely be thinking about the vortex and brain scars sentence for awhile because oh my god 😭
