Peak procrastination: return of Fae!Anti— for the once ever couple years not at all ignoring my uni work—
Veggie Ink Month Day 25: King
Anti paced around in Dark’s chambers, trying his best to be patient while waiting for Dark to return from his kingdom appearance. It was a strange thing the king did, just walk around to let the kingdom see him and Anti had to stay behind since it would not look good for the king to walk with someone he wasn’t married to, regardless of relationship status with him.
The chambers were far from their usual pristine condition as Anti had started digging through belongings out of curiosity. Fae didn’t care much about privacy, hiding things tend to lead to danger so it didn’t occur to Anti he was doing something that humans would see as wrong.
“Oo~” Anti perked up when he found Dark’s castle crown. It was much larger and with polished gems compared to the bland golden one Dark wore out in the public. “Pretty.” Anti went over to the mirror in the room and placed the crown on his head. “Very pretty.” He added with a giggle.
Anti posed a little bit in the mirror; angling the crown in different ways, trying to mimic how Dark stood. He did a bow to see if he could do it and not have the crown fall off. When he straightened back up he saw Dark standing at the open door through the mirror.
“You’ve gone through my things,” Dark commented.
“I haven’t seen your things yet so I figured I’d do it while I waited.” Anti poked the center gem, not catching the irritation in Dark’s voice.
“You didn’t ask.”
“Didn’t ask?” Anti turned to look at Dark in person. “Am I supposed to?” Anti’s question sounded genuine to Dark, telling him that something else about Fae was different than humans.
“Humans like their privacy.” Dark walked into the room as he spoke. “We like to keep our personal belongings to ourselves. Sometimes it’s to keep nostalgic items or things we care about safe from damage and sometimes it’s to ensure high-valued items don’t get stolen.” Dark gestured to the crown. “We tend to ask each other if we’re allowed to look at personal items.”
“Oh!” Anti took the crown off, placed it back where he had found it, and rushed out of the room. Dark only had a second to himself before Anti popped his head into the room. “Hey Dark, can I wear your crown?” That got Dark to smile a little, watching Anti’s ears twitch a little with his own playful grin.
“Yes, you may.”
Thank you @beerecordings for posting your fantastic Fae!Anti headcanons!

Soooo, Fae!Anti anyone?
(Sketch and colour mock up.)
A mischievous bastard who will steal all your shiny things, and maybe you too if you give him the chance.
A word and a ship, how about danti, /medieval Au/ iron
“We’ve caught a fae, your highness.” One of the three guards surrounding the trapped fae stated. Dark was on his throne and Anti stood beside him, eyes going wide when he saw the prisoner. “What do you wish to-”
“How dare you!?” Anti snapped and rushed over to the group, shoving the guards aside.
“Stand down,” Dark ordered the guards when they looked ready to attack.
“This is a child!” Anti continued to scold. “You have placed a child in iron chains?” Anti winced as he squeezed the thin iron cuffs, shattering them. His hands were burned but he didn’t care for his own pain, he cared more for the marks on the fae child’s wrists. “You all must be cowards to attack a child! Weaklings, the lot of you!” Anti hissed at the guards and started speaking to the fae child in a language none of the humans could understand.
“Sire, what is-”
“You are all dismissed for the day.” Dark stood as he spoke.
“But Sire-”
“Dismissed!” Dark raised his voice and all of the guards flinched.
“Yes, Sire.” All of them spoke before bowing their heads and rushing out of the room. Dark slowly made his way down to where Anti and the child were, patiently waiting as they spoke to each other, eventually Anti nodded to the child and looked at Dark.
“They strayed from their circle and got lost. They found one of the nearby markets and took some fruit, they were hungry.” Anti scooped the child up and held them. “I need to take them back to their circle. They’re from a different group than me so there won’t be trouble.”
“You have to go on your own, don’t you?” Dark asked.
“It’ll be safest. Bringing a human would be very dangerous for you, me, and even the child.” Anti bounced the kid a little, getting them to giggle.
“Please be safe and be quick.” Dark stepped forward and gave Anti a kiss on the lips.
“Since when have I ever been slow?” Anti giggled.
“I was referring more to being safe.” Dark rolled his eyes.
“I know.” Anti kissed Dark back. “I’ll be an hour, most likely less.”
“I’ll have dinner ready.”
“Perfect.”
@leobashi I hope insects like my cicada inspired Fae brothers count towards the birb cult?
In a kingdom not very far away from others lived a prince. At a very young age, his parents were murdered by assassins sent by a fae colony. The assassins clearly had no info on the prince as they would of murdered him too.
The prince grew up and eventually became king. Unfortunately for him, his kingdom was unfortunately dying out. The farmers had little to no rations to feed anyone, and he had nothing to offer other kingdom’s for pity. He knew this might be the end.
But all was stopped when a fae entered his garden late one night. The king feared for the worse and went to ran, but the fae stopped him. The fae showed him something that would help his nation survive and live. The king smiled and hugged his new fae friend.
Years passed and eventually the fae and king got to together. They were about to marry when the faes attacked the kingdom. They demanded to have their prince back. At first, the king was confused. The fae had told him he was just someone the kingdom didn’t care about. Clearly, this was a lie.
The fae king ordered for his son to return as he had arrangements to marry a princess from another fae kingdom. The fae didn’t want to go, but he had no choice. The other faes would take down Dark and his kingdom if he didn’t come with them. Hesitantly, the fae kissed the king goodbye and within the blink of an eye, the faes were gone. And the king was crushed. -Tales of the Medieval Times

Piddling around with Fae!anti
I’ve got some ideas for this boi and like a little au I might end up doing something with.
For now, just some character studies, and I’m apparent lack of consistency. And now to kick mycat off of my homework so I can get it done.
