Thinking about Unlucky!Reader's boss, the florist shop owner, a single father recently divorced, grew up here but moved away thinking he was in love. You weren't, the relationship was built on shoddy ground you'd say. Too young and too stupid to realize people grow and change, and you both grew in ways too different for eachother and learned too many things about yourself that you just couldn't unlearn. You wanted to say the feeling was mutual, but there's a reason you got the kid and your ex has fallen off the map. They'll turn up, they always did.
He finds himself outside in the alley squatting on the ball of his feet having a smoke. Jinx hasn't turned up in sometime and you're worried, no text or calls. Which was unusual to say the least. You figure it has something to do with the tree like Fae, Bell hung on his hip, you've heard enough about him to know that he's other intentions then a quick snack if he's hanging around someone. Fae!Ghostface has filled you in on plenty and speak of the devil, you watch him pad up to you boots heavy on the ground airy tendrils flowing all around him. The mask is real enough, strong enough too to almost hide him. "What do you want?" You snap making note of the blood stains painting his body.
Fae!Ghostface cocks his head to the side, arms folded across his chest. You can almost hear the chittering behind his mask. He was a cockroach is what he is. "You asked about the cursed one," His voice causing your skin to crawl as he talks with too many voices, "they live." He's bad at pretending to be human or perhaps he knows he doesn't have to for you. He likes you or at least you think he does, he at least has kept your kid out of enough danger for you to justify letting him stick around. He looks down at the chain around your neck noting the rings on your fingers. Iron likely though he will not test, "Have I not gained your trust human?" He asks stepping closer.
You rise up flat on your feet mirroring his movements, "I know what you are." You growl, knowing better. You've read enough stories and heard enough tails to start making guesses. It helps when he not forthcoming about his own habits. Fae!Ghostface makes a noise that might be mock shock, but with all the layers over it you can't be sure. You shake your head snuffing out the cigarette on the brick before flicking it into the ashtray above the trash. "As long as Jinx is alive I'm not worried..." You pause for a moment, thinking carefully, "The favor you owe, keep an eye on jinx." You hear a chuckle from behind feeling the string that once tied to you unknot. Flowing back to you.
You'll need to get more hooks in him, just to keep him in line, fuck if you didn't just sound like your no good father...
