Hi!! I love ur writing and ik it might b kinda old but i read ur changeling!ryan au and i loved it soo soo much! So if its not too much trouble i was wondering if you could expand on it?Like does Shane go crazy trying to find ryan, combing thru texts and researching until he finds some way to get ryan back to him? Or is he just kinda distraught and he feels like he keeps hearing ryan everytime the wind blows thru the leaves and ryan is actually just fighting to come back to him?Maraming salamat!
for anyone not in the know: changeling!ryan•but basically I imagine that Shane ultimately doesn't know what to do. they call the police. a missing report goes up. suspicions are thrown at Shane and the crew. the process is odd, because this is an American disappearing on British soil (i set this in their UK ep at the castle) and so far from what they can gather, Ryan doesnt have enemies here.•they're given a week to stay. Shane wants it to be longer, just in case maybe Ryan comes back.•after a week, the crew leaves. Shane stays behind.•and that's when he starts hearing Ryan in the rain.•the weather plummets the longer Shane stays, and all around him water splashes against the pavement and his window pane, each one containing a whisper: Shane, Shane, Shane•and he brushes it off at first-- it's the wind. It's the fatigue. It's the sleepless nights spent swamped in worry and grief.•until one day, he wakes up to flower petals all over his hotel bedroom.•they smell of Ryan-- that heady, morning dew, that sticky nectar. Each one is soft to touch, and when he takes his fingers back from them, his skin is stained red.•he collects them all and stuffs them in the pockets of his jacket. the next night, he wears it to bed.•and he dreams of a meadow.•Ryan is sitting, cross legged in the grass, his jacket gone, his shirt torn right across the back, slipping off his shoulders and down his arms. He has his head tilted toward the sky, his hands on his knees. He's breathing.•Shane can't speak.•"Go back," Ryan says, the words lost to the sky. "Go back and bargain. Go back and ask for me. The human boy is too fae to stay on earth. I'm too human to remain."•"Bargain with who?" Shane hears his voice say. "What?"•Ryan opens his eyes, brings them level to Shane's own. Instead of warm, chocolate brown, intense yellow irises stare at him, pulsing with a dormant power newly awakened.•"Ask for Mother," Ryan says. "You'll know what to do."•anyway, fast forward bc idk that's where all my creative juices end•but i do have to say: i talked to a friend about this before and we were laughing over the idea of Shane talking circles around the fae bc sass is their Thing and Shane has that in abundance•and all of them turn to Ryan and are like "No wonder you like this human."•and i was thinking of the final challenge that Shane has to do to get Ryan back was this whole line up of fae folk, all glamoured to look like Ryan•and he has to pick the right Ryan•and while he's picking them out, he says something witty or completely left-field.•and the real Ryan (wheezes)•and Shane's like "THAT ONE. THAT'S THE ONE."•and that's how he manages to get Ryan back from the fae.•idk, it's still in the works, but yeah.send me headcanons or aus im bored
