👻 The Death Order
(fantasy, thriller, action, dark comedy, romance)
To Death, they're Angels.
To humans, they're serial killers.
Twins Ari and Angeline Rodas were supposed to die. But when they don't, they must masquerade as Angels and work in Death's most gruesome department: Murders, Massacres, and Suicides.
After years of dedicating themselves to their gorey profession, the twins finally have an escape plan. But everything falls apart when a true crime podcaster and her brother track them down, and some... one... falls in love.
just read over your faecourse posts and holy shit do I love how you characterize The Folk I love me some alien and powerful and enigmatic fae <3 this is def a dumb question but do you think there could ever be a romantic relationship or union between one of Them and a human or are they just too different/have a completely different view on relationships?
i think it would depend on your definition of “romance”, as well as the specific fae and human involved. it can’t really be compared to like. a human dating an animal, cause both the fae and humans have higher sentience and can communicate consent but the fae are… not human. so we can only guess at what that would mean.
but if we’re going off folklore then yes, they can and do fall in love with humans that they then usually, y’know. “kidnap”. so i guess the second question is if such a relationship could be anything but toxic/doomed.
