1.Favorite Fandom and why.
Homestuck. Just. I've never seen a fandom that's been so kind and dedicated as a whole. Yeah, there's a few assholes here and there, but what fandom doesn't have those? I could go on this entire rant about the Can Town project, the kickstarter for the game, all the blogs I see where people will offer advice and support while in character, but I might be here all day.
(Just one?) How to Train Your Dragon. Because dragons and a well-told story.
3. The ideal type of person (whether friend-wise or oh-my-god-i-want-your-babies-wise)
Someone that's patient and understanding. And likes animated movies. That's a big one.
4. Are you for or against time-travel?
I think it'd be cool, should we ever figure it out how to make it work. The thing is, we'd have to have a safeguard to prevent people from creating paradoxes or altering the timeline.
5. BEST BOOK YOU HAVE EVER READ (if you dont like to read, just choose some other media)
I didn't get to read nearly as many books as I would have liked in my lifetime, due to me being kinda picky, but also because my mom was really controlling about what I got exposed to media-wise up until the last two years.
So, I'm just gonna pick my favorite, then. I think I'd have to go with the Warriors series, by Erin Hunter (yeah, yeah, the cat books, shut up). These were the only fantasy books I was allowed to read growing up, and they were for me what Harry Potter was/is for most other people my age. They had wonderful characters, a wonderfully crafted world, and the books taught me a handful of good life lessons. And let's not forget how they killed off a character in almost every book.
6. Are you an outside or inside person?
7. Introvert or Extrovert?
Introvert. Definitely an introvert.
8. Have you seen the marvelous breadfish? Please specify whether or not you spotted him while swimming in the ocean waters.
At first I thought you were talking about the thing from neopets.
9. Who do you like (and i mean like like) and why
(I see what you're doing, you little shit) Kortlyn. She's really sweet, and she's patient (for the most part XD). She and I both are pretty terrible at voicing our emotions and stuff. And she's really cute, and she has really pretty eyes and a pretty smile, and ugh. Also, as of late, she'll sometimes randomly start talking in her John voice, and it's fucking hilarious.
10. Any huge pet peeves that you have?
Hypocrisy. More specifically, when a person will go on and on about how they hate it when people do a certain thing, or that the thing is wrong, and then turn around and do that thing themselves. And then when they refuse to admit it. Also, being late. My mom is notorious for telling us that we need to leave for things at a certain time, then when that time rolls around, she's still in the bathroom in her bra and underwear brushing her teeth.
As a result, I now tend to arrive for things 15-20 minutes early, on average. Sometimes as much as an hour early.
11. Opinions on the correlation of violent video games and increasing gun violence in America.
Honest to god, I hate it when people blame video games for gun violence in America. I do believe that violent video games certainly do play a part in desensitizing people to violence, but that blame should be put on all media, not just video games. Ultimately, what will determine whether a person will actually go out and shoot someone depends on their nature. I've played my fair share of violent video games. But I've never had the urge to shoot or stab someone, no matter how angry I am. Really, when you use the logic that video games drastically influence what people are like, then I should love running everywhere because I played a lot of Sonic the Hedgehog. I don't. I hate running.
I'm gonna leave my answer at that, because while I can go on about why I think people actually go out and senselessly shoot other people, the question was about video games specifically.
gardevoiir, mokonahapuuuuuu, cuttlefish3011,
faerimagic, awesomelyamazingthings, the-lindsey, bagelsenpai, and that's it because I don't want to start randomly picking some of my followers (though you're free to do this if you like) if I don't know them, and the other people I had in mind were either already tagged or don't ever do these things.
Questions for tagged people:
1. What is the last book you read?
2. Put your ipod or mp3 player of choice on shuffle. What is the fifth song that comes up?
3. Do you have a green thumb?
4. What is your favorite animated movie and why?
5. Have you ever read newspaper comic strips (regularly)? If you did, what was your favorite strip?
6. Pick your all-time favorite character from anything you have read, played, or watched. Why do you like them so much?
8. If you've learned more than one foreign language, which was the easiest for you to learn? If you haven't learned more than one foreign language, what language do you want to learn?
9. Point to a random spot in the room. Base a superhero off of whatever object you wound up pointing at (or the closest object to wherever you pointed to, if you wound up pointing at a whole lot of nothing).
10. How badly did the Toy Story movies affect how you treat your toys and stuffed animals?
11. If you could have anything (and I mean anything) for a pet, what would it be, and what would you name it?
