FAHRUSHU

👊 - Describe their fighting style!

Fahru very much favors the brute approach to most combat - he fights harder, not smarter. You absolutely should not be within grappling range of him, or the fight is already over. That being said, it’s very easy to get him to lay down his arms by expressing an unwillingness to fight - most of the time, he doesn’t want a conflict to come to blows.

♬ - Are there any instruments your character can/wants to learn to play?

He’s always liked the aesthetic of the guitar/bass player, but he’s not sure he’d like to keep his claws trimmed down short enough to manipulate the strings. He’s a pretty solid drummer, though!

☣ - What are some of your characters bad habits/negative attributes?

Largely that would be his aversion to taking anything too seriously. He wants to be seen as silly and dopey and friendly and largely non-threatening and will do a lot to maintain this image. An offshoot of this is that he can oftentimes be too chummy, which doesn’t sit right with more reserved people.

LHIOTTA

🎲 - Do they have any vices that they can’t live without?

She chews on her hair a lot - idly, in thought, nervous, it doesn’t matter. She also has a very, very hard time turning down chocolate-covered gummy anything. It would be a simple thing to create her own assembly line so she could make her own, but other projects just seem more worthy of her time…

✇ - Do they have many fond childhood memories? Name a few.

Well, there’s always the pride of completing The Very First Invention. For her, it was the Transatmospheric Converter. She’s always thought big, and wanted the ability to change weather on a whim! She still tinkers with it from time to time to update and renew it.

Oh, and who can forget when she perfected her tiny Harathi Sentry? A truly revolutionary design of small parts, it has two delicate hands for sensitive work, four sturdy legs for greater mobility and stability in the field, a modified gun which spits electrified darts at undesirables, optics which can see infrared, GPS and radar in its horns - oh, and it plays radio out of its ears if you want.

Don’t even get Lhio started on when she began following Liquidator Luxx’s exploits…

♦ What is one thing about him that he’s most proud of?: His resourcefulness/adaptability. It’s a huge part of how he’s gotten as far as he has. 

☾ Is he prone to nightmares or dreamless sleep?: Not more or less than the average Joe, but isn’t it strange? You don’t remember ever dreaming this vividly before having to sleep near him. Must be some of that ambient Mesmer magic.

❄ Favorite season and why?: Anything that brings the temperature between 65 and 85 degrees. Voshell makes no secret his disdain for the cold, but he also finds that shorts clash with the image he wants to present.

♕ Does he trust easily?: It may seem like he does. He seems relaxed enough, right? But then it starts to occur to you: he seems to know far more about you than you do about him. His speech is measured even at rest and personal questions are answered circumspectly. No, you say to yourself, it doesn’t seem like he trusts me at all. It’s all right, though. You’ll know once he trusts you. It’s a threshold for him, not a series of road markers. Perhaps there will come a time where you learn everything.

✓ How does he react to praise?: With a puffed out chest but a bit of bashful modesty. Like ‘yes, I know I am deserving of this, but teehee I’m embarrassed too!’

★ Does he prefer daytime or nighttime and why?: He doesn’t have a real preference, honestly. That being said he does feel more awake at night!

♠ What is he afraid of?: Being a part of the Charr war machine. And not just in an immediate, shipped-back-to-the-Black-Citadel-and-find-a-proper-warband manner. He’s afraid of being the monster that Humans know Charr as: brutal, ruthless, cunning but individually mindless. He’s most afraid of it because he knows (or thinks he knows) every Charr has the ability to be like that deep within.

♥ What does love mean to him?:  Love means never having to look over your shoulder to make sure your partner’s at your back - you already know they’re there. It also means going out for taco night and, later, trying to one-up each other with the resultant flatulence. It means little nose-kisses and the like peppered throughout the day (although you might need to hold off on that after taco night, man).

For Black Wolf Company’s dungeon runs tonight, I decided to dress Fahru up in something a little more cultured than his usual plate. It’s got a lovely sort of ‘uguu sugoi’ flavor to it :D

2) Does your character have any noteworthy features? Freckles? Dimples? A scar somewhere unusual? etc.

The major feature, aside from his very luxurious mane, is the faint leopard-spot pattern over his dorsal side! His left-upper ear is also bitten to the nub, as a result of getting into a fight with a hyena pack. By the way, he would like you to know it’s as hard as a Svanir’s icy ass to pry a hyena off of you, much less 6 of them.

3) Does your character have an accent? What does it sound like?

I hadn’t given this too much thought, so I spent about 30 minutes trawling YouTube for an answer. Unfortunately I still don’t really know, so I’m just going to say ‘default charr voice’ for now, maybe with a twinge of the goofiness that’s in Tybalt’s voice. >.> Fun fact though: did you know the man who voiced Rytlock (Steve Blum) also voiced Guilmon from Digimon?

5) What are their chief tension areas?

Fahrushu? Tense? Does not compute. (He would never turn down a back massage though!)

7) How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral?

Mostly positive, although sometimes he worries that if it weren’t for his adherence to his jokey Heart Legion he would slowly become just another bitter, violent gladium.

11) What do they think of creation? Do they believe in evolution or do they believe in God? What is their religion like?

He doesn’t follow any gods or goddesses, but his personal code is Heart Legion’s tenants of compassion, joy, and cupcakes. His favorite type of cupcake, by the way, is chocolate with coconut flakes on butter cream frosting. His warband probably wishes he wouldn’t have them, though, because they make him a little gassy.

13) Have they ever been so overwhelmed they had to stop and take a break from something?

Fahrushu is very, very good at taking it easy. Milling around leisurely from point A to point B, sleeping in until noon, taking meals which last hours; he is not known to exert himself any more than he needs to, not even in battle. But to this end, it means that if the pressure of many things bears down on him, he is definitely going to require even more leisure time after the fact to ‘recover’.

17) Is your character an introvert or an extrovert? How do they handle big crowds of people?

Fahru is fine among vast seas of people (he usually towers over the average height of a crowd, which helps). But for as easygoing and as goofy he is, at his core he would have to be an introvert. Also, he tends to be more comfortable if he has at least one friend around him. They don’t have to talk, but he takes comfort in their presence.

19) If your character was suddenly challenged, would they rather run away or stay and fight?

"Can we - can we talk this out? Maybe pal around over a - shit, you hit like a drunken giant - would you like a pint of something to drink? We can settle this like gentleme - okay that one really hurt, I guess we’re going to throw down now!”

23) Do they prefer romance or affection? What is the quickest way to your character’s heart?

Laugh at his dumb jokes, tell him dumb jokes, feed him food, be by his side. This is a fairly easy checklist to complete, and on top of that he’s pretty free with his affection to anyone who doesn’t immediately turn him down, so chances are he probably already loves you. That being said he hasn’t met anyone who he was like ‘wow, I think I might want to be lifemates forever with them’. I think that sort of thing requires more introspection than he’s comfortable doing at this time.

29) Does your character get restless when things are too quiet or do they favour solitude and silence? Why?

Fahrushu is generally happy when things are smooth and not too challenging, but when it gets too quiet he gets contemplative and introspective - and he doesn’t really like that too much. He is likely to suggest things for the Loser Warband to do when there’s been too much downtime.
