"Loser" "Outcast" "Freak" "Idiot" The names hurdled at me like dodgeballs as i walked home. Why are people so mean? What did i do wrong? i brought my arm up to my cheek to wipe some blood off it. It wasn't MY fault i was born like this. I look at my hands, slightly dirty from the fight i just got out of , a tint of blue from the cold weather and a few specks of crimson blood. The usual colors. It happens everyday, i wake up alone in my quite apartment with my mother, who is never around or fully sober. I walk to school, taking the shortcut through the woods of course, to avoid other people. I get into class and try my best to learn and then i walk home. Today was different on the way home i walked over to the sealed entry to the woods. I noticed the seal, wasn't sealed it was left open. I brushed it off as a common mistake of mine. I walked into the thick brushes and was welcomed by laughter. a group of boys up ahead were throwing acorns at a dog, laughing their asses off. It angered me, how could people be SO mean to such a poor animal?! I was enraged, i jumped out of the bushes and screamed tackling one of the older boys to the ground as the boys friends just stood in shock. The frightened dog ran away limping as the boys realized exactly what was going on. Two of them grabbed my arms dragging me off the oldest one, Holding me back. The boy holding my right arm said in a low voice "Vincent, just nail him, show him who is boss." He finished laughing. Vincent looked at me, wiping the blood from his mouth, where i punched him. He looked at the other guys before saying in a sweet tone "Just let him go"
