Hackers showed off all the Switch hacks ⊟
Switch hackers were hella active on Twitter today showing off “unpatchable” hardware vulnerabilities, Linux running on the software, and other things I didn’t understand (we also saw a new exploit for the Nintendo DSi in the year 2018?).
Instead of trying to decipher everything and likely fucking up my explanation, I’ll link you to Ars Technica’s thorough report, which already did the legwork researching today’s scene news and explaining why this exploit is “particularly worrisome for Nintendo and other Tegra vendors”. You can also check out @fail0verflow’s feed for photos of that group’s exploit running homebrew projects and Wind Waker (via Dolphin emulator on Linux) on the Switch.
