Winter Goals (also, new New Post format, i do not like you)
hi there, it's been a while. well, since winter wraps up this month (sad panda), i though i'd check on my winter goals, and see how many i need to do yet! i actually completely forgot about this list though...so we'll see.
go snow tubing/sled riding CHECK! A friend and i went sledding at our neighborhood park.
read lots of books with a cup of tea all snuggled up with blanket and dog, looking out the window and feeling cozy. CHECK-ish. I've read more books lately because i've been spending less time on the computer. and i do recall once or twice reading with a blanket and looking out the window while it was snowing. so i count it.
brave the elements for at least 7 (more) photo expeditions FAIL.i think I've done maybe three. i get lazy once the novelty wears off of winter.
find flowering/fruiting plants CHECK-ish. there's some nearby I've known about, but I've been in a photographic drought for a while, so i haven't taken any photos of them.
make lots of thick, hearty wintery soups FAIL-ish. i made one. which isn't lots. and it came in a bag. i still have time though!
don’t slip on any ice (there is a lot right now because we’re lazy shovelers. oops.) CHECK! I've slipped more indoors than outdoors this winter.
take a walk when it’s snowing so hard i can barely see my feet CHECK! the times that it snowed really hard i was out there! I love snow.
SNOWBALL FIGHT! FAIL. womp womp.
make winter shelters for the street cats (i really should have done this already- bad foster mama!) FAIL i am a horrible horrible foster mama. i forgot all about this. D:
watch all the Classic Doctor Who episodes on Netflix (and beg them to post more Two episodes!) FAIL i had to catch up with Psych and then The Americans started... Bad Whovian. :(
MOAR Starbucks holiday drinks!!! FAIL-ish. there weren't holiday drinks for much longer after i wrote this, and i mostly got vanilla lattes. also i don't get out much.
scoreboard: 5 CHECKS, 6 FAILS. Oh well. better luck next season!
