He is The Banker. His real name is far more excruciatingly boring and nobody cares to use it, much less remember it. The Banker manages the financial details of everything in his town. His fingers, although copper-tinted, do not perk up at the sight of money, as one would expect. No, he instead loathes the sight of it. There are a few guesses as to why this is, but no one would care to guess them, much less figure them out. He is wealthy, but he does not own anything expensive. He is a Banker, yet he is not too good at arithmetic. He is an important chairman at the town hall, but he is always looked over. Why does he manage his job and his life so well when a sea of monotony and a land filled with ignoring people pass him over? The answer to this riddle is simple:
He is The Banker; a wealthy person with a stable job. He cannot fall, nor can he rise. He cannot do better, nor can he do any worse. Forever he is doomed to fall asleep in his gray bed and wake up to the gray skies staring him in his eyes. Forever he is doomed to sit at the monochromatic cafe and order his cup of coffee in the gray mug. For The Banker, the word happiness is removed from the dictionary. Monotony, however, is not.
