Here is a new piece that I'm seriously struggling with. The composition is all wrong, so many lines going in all different directions, too many images competing for attention, my dyslexia kicked in and the shading is off, too many layers are muddling the colors... in essence, it's a disaster. But that's okay. This is part of my process. Every one of my pieces goes through a seriously disastrous failure stage like this. That's when I hang it on the WIP wall, move on to something else, and wait for the moment when I look at it and know exactly what I need to do. In just really hoping this happens in the next few days so I can finish in time for my upcoming gallery show. If not, oh well. I've got plenty of other work to offer. In my creative process, there is no room for ego.
