Fees galore.
In business we are always searching for new ways of generating revenue and many businesses, especially banking and finance institutions do this through adding large fees to services.
I am knowledgeable and worked in banking. I knew I was playing with fire and was getting burned in the short term.
Each month I was being charged high interest on 4 credit cards, over 6 student loans and on past due balances to business expenses.
Every time I was late on a credit card payment a $35 fee was tacked on. This basically started happening most every month for each card.
Every time service was “interrupted” I paid a reconnect fee for each service and sometime for each line of service. This ranged from $5 to $35 per reconnect fee.
When our heating oil ran out. It was an additional $50 fee to bleed the lines before refilling the tank.
The pile keeps growing and I am struggling to breath. For some reason, every company and service loves me because they are making mass amounts of money. They also find it completely appropriate to try and upsell me every time they harass me about payment.
