This was sent to me by a friend the other day. We were discussing game making and how I struggle to complete my projects - sometimes from overplanning the story, sometimes from getting frustrated over my lack of skills. My friend pointed out that this is not because I lack the skills or intelligence but rather because i am trying too hard to get it perfect and right the first time. As my friend said “you’ll never find the awesome if you always pursue what is perfect.” So she sent me this video and then challenged me to make a game in 5 days. Since then, i have written the backbone of a story and designed/drawn some (really crap) computer art for it. In this sense, I think it’s a lifesaving video for any and all creatives.
