#55: "Get it Shawty" (Faina/Cedric hip-hop), Top 20
I didn't mean for so many top twenty routines to come in a row.
But this is yet another chemistry problem, again, mostly from Faina's end. Seriously, I don't understand how she's a ballroom dancer yet she's so bad at acknowledging her partner. Maybe she just didn't want to dance with Cedric? I don't know, but it's so jarring sometimes. They might as well have been doing two different routines.
And not only for the chemistry reason, but also because Faina and Cedric were dancing so differently. Cedric is freaking amazing and I don't understand at all how the way he moves is possible, but Faina looked a bit like a cheerleader. I understand that she's a ballroom dancer and this was really hard and she was next to Cedric of all people, but I winced a bit at times, especially during their side by side sections. Her isolations especially were not there at all, and it makes me wonder why Shane gave her so many if she was having trouble with it.
But all that being said, I actually like this routine. If Faina had done a little better, this would be pretty high on the list, just because it's high energy and I actually find the choreography interesting unlike the other Shane routines we've seen so far. I just don't get why Cedric's socks come up so damn high.
