Nugu GG of the Week #111 : Fainit

Fainit (페이니티) is a 5 member girl group that debuted with the standalone digital single Killer in June of 2022. The group consists of members : Jinseo, Liha, Idam, Seoa and Meanu.

So their group name... I'm copy and pasting this.... :

Their name stands for Fantasy Avatar Intersection Nationality Idol Travel, or To the world of various fantasies (F) characters (A) intersecting between fantasy and reality (I) travelling between various spaces (N) as an idol (I) to a new world (T). This is supposed to represent the initiation of the "FAINIT UNIVERSE" and how the group will link various cultures together through transcending time and space.

Did that make sense? Well it doesn't matter because they disbanded the following month so. What was the point of all that. Allegedly their company was basically just clout chasing aespa/Loona and they were gonna have their own lore about AIs and hackers like idk, and I could care less. It's too much for a nugu group.

So the song. Killer is an interesting pop track, it's a dance track with a nice whistle synth (which I love whistling in pop songs even if it isn't a real whistle), as well some occasional electric guitar and a nice percussion beat. I will this say this song definitely reminds me of Itzy, they were Itzy coded for sure like Loco/Blah Blah Blah/Voltage vibe 🤔. It's a nice track.

I will add on to say their vocals are 👀 interesting, if you weren't a fan of how Chungha 's vocals sounded on her debut song Why Don't You Know then you'll dislike this song, the girls are very nasally, some more than others.

Since disbandment apparently 3 of the 5 of them went to Crayon Pop's company as trainees so I guess they might redebut one day ??
