Reader softly hummed as they walked down the hallway. No current issues to deal with. The covenheads being amicable. Kikimora on an important mission or whatever. And, Hunter... off doing whatever boys do nowadays.
They were thinking they should go out more when they ended up at his study.
The door was sealed by magic, runes, glyphs. Whatever he could get his hands on they were on this door. It prevented creatures like witches and demons from entering unless they wanted to suffer a gruesome fate.
The angel had made a little trick in this hall. No how hard a single witch may try. They cannot enter the hallway. Being teleported to one similar looking.
All to prevent their deaths.
Though it was funny to hear of tales of scouts or Kiki trying to get to his study and ending up at the cafeteria.
Oh. And being neither witch nor demon meant that they just had to use a simple protection spell. While his magic may not hurt them, the glyphs might give them a slight burn or even a few cuts if they're not careful.
So, after casting the spell they opened the door and walked in. Then, the yellow glow around them dissipated into nothingness.
Seeing him sitting at his desk over a piece of paper. Looking calm and relaxed. It took Reader to knock on the door behind them for Philip to notice,
"Angel? What brings you to my study?" He'd ask, standing now.
Reader cleared their throat. "Just checking in." They'd walk up to him then look down at his desk. It was a drawing of Luz? Well. Now seeing the unfinished-ness of the drawing and the faint words "WANTED" on it they realized what it was.
"Hm. Interesting drawing. Though, I think her hoodie is a bit more purple. That looks too magenta." The angel commented, looking over Philip's shoulder. Unintentionally resting their chin on it.
Philip, being the ever most chaste and modest man, when feeling a bit of warmth rise to his face he stuffed it back down, annoyed at the demon within trying making him think strangely.
"Yes, yes. This is simply a draft of it. It was never meant to be the final version." He waved off their comment, though- mentally took a note of it as now with the added information it did in fact look too pink.
Reader slipped to his other side. Talking which surprised him a bit more, how did they move so gracefully?
"You should draw me. It was be nice to see what I look like to you." They'd dip their finger in a more purple ink and pressed it to the drawing of Luz's hoodie, making it look more accurate. Philip perked up at this.
"That would be extremely-!" He started but was cut off. "Oh, dearest Philip. Must it take me becoming a dangerous bandit and criminal to be drawn by you?" They'd ask playfully, somehow standing in front of him now.
Philip froze. The warmth rising in his face, now much harder to hide and force back down. "I-" He coughed, clearing his throat and looking away from the Angel's gaze. "Will think about it.."
Reader smiled. "Thank you, dear." Then. Just like how they came. They were gone.
All alone Philip sighed. The angel making his day brighter. Despite the constant palisman yelling and screaming and trying to take over now and then, they were his flame in the dark.
Almost getting caught in a daydream he sharply inhaled. A slight pain in his arm. Looking at it he could see the glyphs glowing a tinge of bright gold?
He wasn't even using any magic and yet, the pains grew.
Philip softly huffed and went back to finishing the first draft, thinking it was the angel trying to heal him once again, even though it didn't work the first time.
Unaware of the angel actually attempting to use glyph magic while adding on their own magic, causing all glyphs on the isles to channel a bit of their angelic magic.
