What do you miss about Eric?
“Millennia ago, I didn’t have the ability to do this full-body glamour that I have in place now. I may be very old and powerful, but it takes a great deal of concentration and energy to uphold such a thing constantly, especially when you have as many scars to hide as I have,” he said with a shake of his head. “That being said…Do you know how difficult it is to keep a glamour in place in the heat of the moment? It’s near impossible, unless you wish to appear vastly underwhelmed or bored.”
“Underneath this glamour, I’m not handsome. I’m the Man with the Demon Face. And…Eric…wasn’t afraid to touch me, to look at me, and if he was in any way bothered by it, he was incredibly adept at not showing so,” he answered honestly. “And he didn’t pity me either. He was just…a constant companion, lover, and friend for those years in Athens.”
