a late email
Her last 3 projects culminated with her boss telling her some variation of the following: "...you've done excellent work so far but as we roll out this endeavor we'd feel more comfortable if [male name] handled it from here on out." She spends the evening trying to figure out the best way to respond. She triple checks her word choices, lest she appear spiteful, emotional or too candid for their liking. All-the-while wondering how certain coincidences keep happening.
