     He had very little time to actually ascertain what was happening - he felt, more than anything, the arrival, but by the time he was turning around already they were flinging themself forward at him - he registered the diminutive stature with confusion, then they were upon him-

Ineffectually, they hit him square in the gut with little more than a thump. He wasn’t surprised, now that he saw them - her - up close. She was minuscule. All the same, he grabbed for her wrists, not about to let his guard down simply because she was small - she had run headfirst into him for a reason, surely. He knew who she was already. He had been waiting a very long time for her. And the last thing he wanted to do, at the moment, was kill her.

Come in From the Cold

It was the height of winter here in Domino. Snow seemed to eternally fall outside the windows of Millennium Dolls, and yet the city marched on. There were far too many important people with important things to do to allow a simple snowfall to get in their way. So, people hustled and bustled by, just the same as ever as cold condensation crept over the windows of the shop, fogging out the view of the dolls sitting lonely in the display.

Inside the store was a different story entirely. The dollmaker who ran this shop kept the temperature warm and welcoming compared to the frigid cold outside. However, the tiny little doll store on the outskirts of Upper Domino didn’t seem to be one of those places important people with important work would brave the cold for. So, the storefront was entirely deserted compared to the outside streets. The owner didn’t seem to mind,though. Ryou Bakura sat at the store counter at the front of his empty store, white hair pulled up out of his face, needle and thread in hand. He hummed a jaunty little tune as he worked on what appeared to be a tiny doll’s dress, entirely oblivious to the passage of time.

It wasn’t but moments later that he heard the bell over the door ring, signaling somebody had entered his establishment. He placed his work down for a moment and straightened his shopkeeper’s apron before turning to the newcomer, smiling with a practiced grace.

“Hello! Welcome to Millennium Dolls. If there is something I may do to assist you in finding anything, please do let me know.” His light British accent drifted through the air, seeming to only add to the welcoming atmosphere of the tiny store.

Penny blinks when the rain suddenly stop beating down on him, big eyes blink over to see someone had made it stop. Their umbrella seeming to come out nowhere, not that he was paying too much attention before. Knowing he must look like a miserable wet rat. As he had nowhere to go to get out of it, no money to hang around a shop, no home. As he left Derry hoping to find some answers and all he seemed to get was disappointment. 

                     “Thanks.”
