in one of the shops in fairplay was the worlds third largest sp collection, we spent a while in here just looking at everything there was so much stuff!!! and everyone was so friendly.

@angelbootyandpie, @fortunate-sam, and I are staying at the Hand Hotel in South Park (Fairplay), Colorado. It’s said to be the 2nd most haunted hotel in the state! Second only to the Stanley Hotel! (The Overlook from The Shining)

“PRUNES THE BURRO (1867- 1930)” - Fairplay, Colorado’s memorial to Prunes is a self-supporting stucco wall, into which is cemented a brass plaque, charting Prunes' 60+ years of service to miner Rupe Sherwood, who stood beside the monument when it was unveiled on April 30, 1930. Also embedded in the wall is Prunes' collar, which is protected under glass. Sherwood cried at the dedication, and said, "Lord I hate to see him go. I would trust him ahead of any man."
we also made the drive to fairplay…. what an absolutely beautiful little town… the mountains and views were so amazing. saw some doggies and two moose. on the way out we happened to spot the hot dog. we … had ourselves a time….

five days after crashing off a rural highway southwest of Denver.
Passersby who happened to stop Sunday on scenic U.S. Highway 285 near Fairplayspotted the car about 80 feet below in an aspen grove. They hiked down to the vehicle and called authorities.
