I was thinking about Shugo Chara au,where Hiro have his shugo chara eggs and then he just learns about the X-eggs and everything.

Maybe the nerd herd doesn’t exist in this AU, but they end up becoming his Guardian Characters. Fred represents Hiro’s desire to be more relaxed and chill about things, Honey Lemon is his desire to be more fun-loving and cheerful, GoGo is his desire to be more confident and bold, and Wasabi represents his desire to be more organized and on top of things.

The four of them help him grow and develop as a person, but Hiro has to hide them from Tadashi. He’s scared his brother will think he’s crazy or something (plus he doesn’t want Tadashi to find out he’s going through these Transformations like a magical girl), so Tadashi has no idea where all of these changes in Hiro’s personality are coming from. He’s happy to see his brother coming out of his shell a bit, but he’s also concerned because Hiro’s been acting very strange lately.

Unfortunately, his concern leads to uncertainty, and the guardian egg that was growing in his heart gets turned into an X-egg. And suddenly, Tadashi is in danger from the X-character that’s going to emerge.

(Eventually they fix his X-character, though, and it turns into Baymax, who represents Tadashi’s desire to help people. What a cutie)

So that witch Aunt Cass AU apparently has Cass run a witchy store, selling potions, spells, charms, trinkets, and other witchy stuff, and the Hamabros help. And now I'm imagining kumiho Gogo and naga Honey Lemon, with fairy Fred and dragon Wasabi all going to the shop and buying the weirdest freaking things. (Wasabi buys like everything cleaning related in the entire shop for his hoard, with Fred pitching in because Wasabi does not have much money and Fred is loaded. )

Fred is loaded because he’s got Leprechaun in his family. Originally Wasabi didn’t want to go to Aunt Cass’ shop because while he’s a dragon with a hoard, he doesn’t actually have much in the way of money, and Aunt Cass’ shop is one of those quality places where you get what you paid for. But Fred insists and he’s pretty much the only friend Wasabi has so Wasabi eventually caves.

When they arrive, they’re originally just looking for cleaning supplies that work on enchanted silverware, but then Aunt Cass wanders over and mentions she has a special oil that would work wonders on Wasabi’s scales. Dragon!Wasabi is instantly very intrigued. And sure enough, the next day after he’s tried out her free sample, his scales are the shiniest and smoothest they’ve ever been

Thus starts his monthly visits to the shop, usually with Fred but sometimes without. Aunt Cass takes to giving him discounts on the amount of oil he buys because he always gets so much of it, which he really appreciates. He also meets Honey Lemon through the shop, because she buys the same oil for her scales, and then through her he meets GoGo. Wasabi eventually introduces them to Fred, and the nerd herd is officially formed. All of them are excited because they’ve actually been pretty lonely for a long time but now they’re branching out and meeting new people and it’s all thanks to Aunt Cass’ shop.

Back in the shop, with Mochi sitting in her arms and purring, Aunt Cass watches the nerd herd bonding and just grins. Damn, she’s good
