My Person
***Sorry for the non-personal photos, still deciding if I want to post those on here or not***
I absolutely ADORE this photo! It perfectly describes me and my husband (and also a major fan of Gajevy!!!) I am forever a bookworm and my husband works for his family constantly so he is always up for a power nap! He is the sweetest person I have ever met while still being a complete butthead!!
I love telling our story to people because it always reminds me how incredibly lucky I am. You see, our story actually starts with our parents! Both of our moms are Filipino and were born and raised in the Philippines. So I’m pretty sure by now you have guessed that both of our fathers were in the military, the Marine Corps to be exact! My dad was stationed in Okinawa Japan and he met my mom at a restaurant she was working as a waitress through a family friend (who my sister and I consider out uncle! #forevergrateful) and long story short they ended up getting married **however their story is for another post... cause it’s literally a movie** Anyhow, both of our parents ended up meeting each other in Jacksonville, North Carolina! Seeing how our moms were Filipino they were instantly friends! Funny note: me and my husband and both of our sisters were all born in the same hospital! After that, my family moved from NC to FL to Okinawa and then back to NC. During all of that time we kept in touch with each other. My sister and I viewed my husband and his sister as cousins! However, since me and my hubby were only less than a year apart we were always told how we would end up getting married *foreshadowing anyone?* but we always pushed it off. Besides, I was always closer to his sister than him. Especially since we’ve been in NC they moved to the same street as us and lived FIVE houses down! Yea, they saw a lot of me. Honestly, it wasn’t until a couple years ago until I actually started seeing him differently. And of course, it took him having his heartbroken by a girl for me to start feeling differently. Annnd me being the weirdo I am, tried to match him up with a friend and THANKFULLY it didn’t work out! Not that she’s not amazing, but I was able to go on our fun quirky little dates afterwards thanks to that. It’s funny how everything works out.
Guess I’ll end here for now... But Lord knows that I am forever thankful for this man.
