hello, lele! I had re-read the manga yesterday and I just realized something's up where Itadori had beaten up Mahito in Shibuya, then Geto appeared.

when Itadori told Geto to let go of Gojo and Geto attacked him, then Itadori was furious and again told him to let go of Gojo,

suddenly Mahito looked like he was about to attack Geto and said, "I knew that. After all, I was born of humans."

what does it mean? did he really try to attack Geto since he felt Itadori's hatred towards Geto?

or am I just seeing it wrong? thank you very much!

This is just my personal opinion, but it's not about Itadori's feeling. Mahito probably wanted to avoid being taken in by Getou using curse spirit manipulation technique, so he tried to attack Getou, but he was already too weak from being beaten by Itadori. I think Getou has long since have the intention to take in Mahito, and Mahito knew that since when they still scheming together. But he tolerated Getou because Getou is important for their Shibuya plan. When Getou appears at the end, he probably knew that Getou was gonna swallow him at that moment, thus attacked him.

so since geto thinks yuuta cant be the next gojo, who do you think geto deems worthy enough to take over gojos place? yuki maybe?

Honestly, I can’t see fake Getou to be someone who consider such things. He doesn’t want a world where a strong axis controlled the others. What he wants is what we see in the current time; a chaos, where everyone is contending to be ‘the strongest’, a pure competition not unlike a natural selection. I mean, I don’t think he sees anyone fitting to be Gojo’s substitute. In his eyes, Yuuta is still too young, so he is way less experienced, while Yuki, he sees that she doesn’t bother herself with domestic matter, (at least at the beginning, but now we see Yuki is more active in the plot so maybe it can change). Itadori hasn’t have a good handle on jujutsu and Fushiguro is also still far to be as strong as Gojo. In the first place, he sealed Gojo because Gojo was a threat to his plan; and on the current time, probably only by joining forces that the other sorcerers can amount to something akin to threat to the Brain. There’s also Sukuna, but he is a wild card that can’t be predicted and usually only brings harm to everyone involved. Unless the Brain involved Fushiguro, Sukuna probably won’t act much. 

At the end, my opinion is that no one should be “Gojo”. This whole situation happens because they depend too much on Gojo to hold the power balance. And honestly? Gojo should be kept... uh, gone or at least not made to hold the power balance even after the Brain is defeated. That’s how I think how their world should be changed.
