Dude did you see the Lady Gaga/Metallica performance? If so what did you think?
i have no idea why they’d even perform with lady gaga in the first place… no hate to her because i don’t mind her at all but it’s such a strange collaboration. i feel like this era of metallica is super bizarre and all over the place, and that’s just proof. the aesthetic choices (the cheesy set design of the grammy show, brioni, the album cover, some of the videos, etc) are so dad like, but a dad trying to appeal to a younger audience they don’t fully understand. i thought the whole thing was kind of messy, with james’ tech issues being the least messy aspect. but i critique because i love, and it was nice to see kirk again on tv.
